Replacing grass in yard - zoysia vs fescue

We just had a major plumbing job done which required digging up most of our front yard and piling rubble and dirt on a good area as well. Prior to this we had zoysia grass (which had come with the house when we bought it 4.5 years ago). We were never thrilled with the winter color (yellow-brown) but it otherwise was low maintainence. One of our direct neighbors has zoysia, the other fescue grass.

Now that 75-80% of the front yard (not back) needs the lawn replaced, we are wondering about not replacing with zoysia but considering fescue similar to what one of our neighbors have.

Wanted to get thoughts on replacing with nonzoysia vs zoysia. Anything other than cost and winter color to consider? We live in Maryland if that helps - Ive noticed a few zoysia lawns (based on winter observations) but seems to be a minority of lawns Ive seen..

Thx!
