Something simple!! I am tired of cooking!! Maybe fish sticks and onion rings. I made a jello salad earlier.

Not sure but I have ground beef, scoops chips, sour cream and shredded cheese and also some soft taco wraps. Sounds like something semimexican to me.

Dreary and slushy, but icy this AM, so school was cancelled. Supper will be leftover soup, with sandwiches made with homemade bread. My kind neighbor scraped the driveway yesterday, so I made him and his DW a big loaf of homemade bread, and one for us too. I made puff pastry cherry tarts for Valentines Day, so we'll have the last of those.

Our schools had a snow day today so no Meals on Wheels. Just see where they're going to be closed again tomorrow. We got hit hard with snow and ice layers mixed in. I'm eastern part of Ohio. Supper tonight was 'clean out the refrigerator', just little bits of this and that. Will have to cook tomorrow.

I marinated some chops today and plan to coat them with a mix of panko, corn meal, and flour and pan fry them in some ghee. I've made some zucchini 'noodles', and am making mixed grains and wild mushrooms.

Applesauce meatloaf, whipped potatoes, carrots/zucchini.

I had this pan of delish delights! Nice and big and seasoned perfect.

Raven, are those shrimp or crawdads? I show my ignorance. :) They look pretty though. We're having chicken, rice and green beans for dinner tonight.

I had bridge at the club tonight so we had dinner there. I had scallops with couscous. DH. had a hamburger since it was hamburger night.

I made an appetizer of seared teriyaki tuna cubes. then made mini pepperoni mushroom pizzas, followed by a dessert of pretty good, store-bought tiramisu

I had chamomile tea. Don't feel well. Going to bed early. The temp. was 87 degrees here today and the price of gas is down to $1.37. Good day!

Sunny and hot here today. Been a strange February so far. I grilled burgers and served them with steamed broccoli and red grapes.

Those were the delicious crawfish I devoured! All you eat is the little bit ofof meat in the tail, most of it goes in the trash.

Crazy weather here on Cape Cod - it was 7° yesterday morning and 48° this morning. Rain and 50+ mph winds helped to melt the snow cover. I made chicken enchiladas with salsa verde. We'll have several meals from that. Then a pot roast from the freezer for later in the week.

Tuesday is sandwich night... We had roast beef slices and shredded cheese lettuce wraps with lime/mayo/cayenne spread. Veggie tray - and used the extra lime/mayo spread as a veggie dip. Homemade sweet potato chips. For President's Day on Monday I made a gluten-free cherry dessert (I always make a cherry dessert for President's Day - even if the George Washington / cherry tree incident probably was a hoax. ;-). I made a 1/2 recipe, which made 4-servings, and we had the last two pieces for dessert.

I've got to say, there are some great sounding meals here tonight!

Raven, your crawfish meals always look so delicious, but much to my sorrow and surprise, I don't like crawfish! And I don't know why; my mouth waters when I look at those steamed crustaceans.

I've devoured piles of crabs, shrimp, oysters, mussels, clams, and all manner of fish, but crawfish just don't make the cut. It's a supreme disappointment to me, lol.

I'm looking foward to another visit from some friends in coastal SC, where I used to live. They're bringing three or four bushels of freshly gathered Beaufort oysters. I'll have a Lowcountry oyster roast for my friends here, and keep some aside for a stew the next day.

Sorry girls the crawdads do not look good to me. I used to live along the river when I was growing up and used to catch the things, just to see how many I could catch. Always threw them back in. We would never eat those. :)

Yes, I eat the tails, but the ones with large claws - I get the meat from those, too.

At any rate, last night's dinner was pork short ribs, coated with oyster sauce, chili powder and cayenne pepper -- and garlic. Tasty! (And snowpeas with mushrooms.)

I love crayfish but only if prepared and served like lobster, I don't like the Louisiana style with hot pepper, it ruins the taste for me.

My favorite way to eat mudbugs (crawfish) is sitting on the curb in New Orleans with all the rest of the boil with it, potatoes, corn, as it drips off my chin and everyone passing by says WHERE did you get that?! Everyone should experience mardi gras once in their life. More if you love crowds. I attend events during the day and only head into the Bourbon St area if I have a balcony I can stand on. Not down in the crowd. They should go so they can fully appreciate the depth of the event. I don't think you can get it fully just seeing pictures. I love New Orleans in the off-season far more, but fantastic food, city, people. Love it!

Joe's Crab Shack, is close to me, and their parking lot is filled due to crawfish season and their specialty is the lo boil. I love fried crawfish tails, at nearby Cajun Steamer.
