Would it bother you if CD fridge stuck out 3 inches?
Comments (9)3" is exactly how much my GE Monogram CD fridge sticks out beyond my cabinets and trust me it must be this way. I learned the hard way when originally my fridge was nice and flush with my cabinets and just the handles stuck out. It looked great, like a built in. Thirty minutes later when I went to open the fridge for the first time and realized that the doors physically couldn't open I was frantic and distraught. Cabinet maker had to come back and take out the cabinet (yes it was in the middle of cabinet bank with my oven on one side and pantry on the other) and literally shave 3" off the back side of the cabinet and then slide it back it. Now my fridge sticks out 3" beyond the cabinet like it should have in the first place. At first it bugged me, because I wanted the built-in look, but now I don't even notice it....See MoreWould this bother you?
Comments (37)Oh, Cynic, don't be ridiculous! Of course I didn't see it as a "transaction", what a crazy thing to say. You may be right that the girl feels more comfortable corresponding with her Uncle (DH) and I did call her "my husband's niece" but never in a million years would DH even think to send a gift. And never is he the one invited to the wedding showers and baby showers for his siblings children and their spouses--it's always ONLY me. Being that we live at least 5 hours away and I work a great deal I am rarely able to attend, but I always send something. As Cheri2008 stated, it seems they can send out wedding invites, shower invites and baby announcements (which to me is akin to asking for a gift) but it's too difficult to send a proper thank you? I guess I may have to change my expectations when people start using facebook to invite others to a wedding....See MoreWould this bother you?
Comments (79)The burden is always on the attorney to ensure confidentiality- and that includes ensuring his or her spouse is not made aware of privileged information. A spouse is a third party (obviously) so would not be bound by attorney/client privilege and thus should not have any access to any confidential information a client shares with an attorney, nor to any confidential information an attorney shares with a client regarding the client's case. That said, the Supreme Court has ruled: Lawyer-client communications are confidential if they are made in a context where it would be reasonable to expect that they would remain confidential (Katz v. U.S., U.S. Sup. Ct. 1967) So, it becomes a question of whether the client calling an attorney at home would reasonably expect both sides of that phone call to be kept confidential.. If the attorney provides the number and tells clients to call, then this seems to be a situation where the client would reasonably expect confidentiality. However, if the attorney's wife answers the phone and it is apparent she is there, can the client reasonably expect confidentiality? As to the pharmacist, HIPAA is super, super strict. My DH just did his HIPAA compliance manual for the year and it's like 8 binders full of stuff he has to do to make sure medical records don't fall into the wrong hands. Limiting access to areas where patient records are kept is among the requirements....See MoreWould This Bother You?
Comments (9)It would bother me if my husband did that. But it very much looks as though your husband is working very hard physically and is exhausted. Been there, done that. I worked outdoors and found the hot sunny time of year particularly difficult. Do you have a pool? I was thinking about this situation on my dog walk the other day and thought how a bathe in a pool when he gets home from work might be an excellent way of winding down and recovering. The trouble with a couch is that they won't let you go. They make one want to stay. So my suggestion is to head to your pool with some refreshing drinks and something tasty to eat. After an hour or so he might be a new man. I think let him find his own 'timing', don't ruin it by telling how long it will take him. He'll need the mental relaxation as well. Good luck and I hope it works....See Morecluelessincolorado
