Comments (2)Congrats! Let us know. Electrolux has a lot of features to play with. Have fun!! And if you want the extended warranty, you can buy it DIRECTLY from Electrolux! You do not have to go with Lowe's, Sears, Best Buy! And with Electrolux, you can re-new your extended warranty over and over!!! :)...See MoreWhy Electrolux Excluded from HD/Lowe's Sales?
Comments (11)Actually, it does make sense - the manufacturer does have the RIGHT to protect their brand by requiring retail price minimums. Without this ability, such appliances would never be available in places like HD or Lowes. The reason is that such high-end appliances need high-end appliance shops to tout their wares (properly), and if they do not have contracts forbidding places like HD / Lowes to undersell appliance specialists, then HD / Lowes will have "dump sales" (selling below wholesale cost) of such appliances to lure in customers, the customers will not be shown how to properly use / care for said appliance and then the manufacturer's reputation will suffer. This policy does protect small appliance specialists from competition from HD / Lowes, but it also protects the manufacturers because specialty shops know what they are selling (unlike HD / Lowes), so they can be trusted not to give high-end appliances an unwarranted bad reputation. The only reason Electrolux and some of the others even bother selling through HD / Lowes is on the off chance someone (not a high-end buyer) will fall in love and blow their budget - a customer who would never have stepped into a high-end appliance shop in the first place. The other reason is so people in rural areas without such a shop nearby can order through HD / Lowes. Why do you think luxury car makers started "Certified Pre-Owned" programs? To protect their reputation from used car dealers!...See MoreNew Electrolux Models
Comments (5)@ buckeyegoldenmom....On every other FL model, you can leave the washer door just ajar a few inches. On the Electrolux models with the "push to open" doors, they are spring loaded, and the doors just fly open and stay very open. If one has a smaller, or tight fitting laundry room, this wide opened washer door is a real nuisance. They need to have a magnet or latch system, that allows one to leave the washer door ajar for airflow, without having to have the door just flung open!...See MoreElectrolux Washers and Dryers
Comments (42)Just exchanged my Samsung steam washer and dryer for the Electrolux Wavetouch. Only had it 2 days now and can't believe the difference from the Samsung. The Samsung was the worst appliance I have every purchased. Especially the dryer. Not one single load, in 2 weeks, came out fluffy and dry. It rolled everything into a ball so nothing inside the ball was dry. Even if I put just a few things in the dryer it would shut off when the clothes were still wet, no matter what setting I used. The controls were hard to use and it took too many steps to start the wash. The Electrolux is GREAT!! Turn the dial to the cycle, push start and it goes. The clothes are clean, put them in the dryer turn the dial, push start and they are dry and fluffy. Just the way it is supposed to work. The lights even come on when you open the doors. Imagine that. With the Samsung you would have to push the power button first for the lights to come on. The stupidest thing I have ever seen. Even my 20 year old Maytag knew that the light should come on everytime you open the door. It wouldn't shut the light off if you left the door open though, the Electrolux does. They also remember your settings for each cycle, so you don't have to make several choices EVERY time you start a load. Sorry for the long post but I just can't believe what a bad product Samsung put out. And to top it off, all the reviews are great. Even Consumer Reports rates the Samsung the highest (the reason I bought it). Electrolux tops everything....See Moregeorgect
