How do I change back to my old GW name?

Not too bad-- was cancer free for 5 yrs then late spring 2014 a tumor showed on my liver--biopsy proved it was a metastasis from the original pancreatic cancer-- but this July we finally found a chemo ( the 3rd tried ) that is actually shrinking the tumor so I guess all the nasty side effects were worth it, Right now it's just a bit of nausea & terrible fatigue. I didn't do any gardening or preserving this past summer except for 10 qts of Chase's dills & 12 pts of Linda Lou's sweet chunks. I even hired a gal to do the spring flower beds & mulching. Still do the daily cooking but gave up the craft shows & private duty.

Family is all well & working and wonder of wonders everyone's taking-- just had our 5th ggchild-- Doc's on usual winter layoff & says he's not going back-- been saying that for 6 yrs-- maybe this time.

Try going into Your Houzz in upper right corner and go into "edit my profile" and see if you can change your user name.

As far as Houzz itself is concerned, you are who you are now, but you can go to Your Houzz>Edit Profile,scroll down to Profile Information and enter your preferred screen name as your first name and that's what will display in the forums.

Hi stinky. No, it was not fun at all!, and kept me from wanting to,post at first. That, and all the strange text that occurs on this new contraption. Of course it"s not mug skills!. Oh, and see the "mug" there? That's an example of auto spell,correct ,,which I thought I' d turned off...( as well,as all,the extra commas...sigh). Forgive me for being too,lazy this a.m. To correct. Thank you - I may leave to deal with life's challenges. But I always come back to the table. Best cuppa tea or coffee and the most wonderful cinnamon rolls I've ever seen here. What a nice surprise to open my package and find Rezha Macedonian pepper. I am going to grow that along with Vesna Elephant pepper. They are both embroidered with jalapeno type striations. GW to Houzz user name change?

Say what you wish about a Houzz member already having registered my user name. I don't buy it in my case or many other cases, but that's the reason they gave me. But answer me this, why is MY e-mail address not usable? Houzz claims it is already being used. Well, they are wrong. It's my e-mail address and has been used on GW since 1998 when it was THS. Plus, it is the one that I have been communicating with Houzz to remedy my user name and my requests for them to unlock my e-mail address for my usage.. It is my opinion the notification plan was poorly done. and the migration plan was even worse. DA

Diane, I'm glad you're doing better with that chemo, but it sure IS nasty stuff. I'll keep you in my prayers, and Doc too. Maybe this year he will actually retire, LOL.

As for the canning and gardening, well, eh. There's always next year, or you could just pass that on down to the next generation! You have great-greats now, just let someone else do it.

I've missed you and was just thinking about you. I've been dragging out my Christmas cookie recipes and there was your recipe for those Cuccidati, the fig filled bars. I love 'em...
