What happen to my peach tree?
Comments (8)If the tree holds the fruit, go ahead and eat it. Nothing wrong with that. Copper is copper...its all organic...comes in different forms but its mostly just the concentration of copper that you are worried about. You may have to spray several times. Some of that stuff is expensive. I sprayed early this spring right before the buds broke and I still lost almost every leaf on one of my trees. I think what I was using just wasn't strong enough. Some peaches are more resistant...two of mine have hardly any curl. If you can keep the tree completely dry until the leaves unfold you won't have any (my container peaches are almost curl free having spent many spring rains in the garage/they weren't sprayed at all). I guess this is a real bad year. MSU (Michigan State University) is seeing a lot of curl in orchards....See MoreHelp with tomatoe stem problem
Comments (1)Root initials. Can be just one of those things. But when so many develop, it disrupts the transport of water, fertilizer & more up and down the stem. If you have time in your growing season, replace with fresh young plants....See MoreBarbados cherry leaf problems
Comments (3)Can you post a photo? Your description doesn't help much. I have 5 Barbados Cherry plants, and none have had any pest or disease issues. Is your tree potted, or in the ground? How old? Is this a brand new problem? What fertilizer do you use? Has your plant bloomed and fruited? "Black powdery thing" might be sooty mold. Safe treatments for unknown pests would be insecticidal soap sprays (Home Depot has it) or Ultrafine oil, also at HD. Neither should hurt your tree, and they will take care of most pests. Do you see insects? How do the leaves look? A healthy green or dry, mottled or falling off? Lisa...See MoreSucculent help!
Comments (3)Victoria np, we all were new to this once:) I would improve the drainage of your soil by adding much more perlite. I don't use soil, but many ppl do and mix it 50/50 with perlite. I prefer using grit and perlite and little turface. Use what you want, but improve drainage. Coir liner should drain enough - I hope. Not sure if the charcoal helps at all - it does have lots of benefits (not sure if for succulents thou), possibly helps drainage if grainy enough - but IMO, it would be better mixed with the soil (unless it is a fine powder, in which case I would eliminate it all). Having ingredients mixed together well is much preferred rather than any layers. I think that leaves were coming off because plants were in the package for few days, likely 'stuffy' in this hot weather. And maybe they were just little too wet after hosing them off for another leave to turn black. Plant looks healthy in the photo otherwise - if it was rotting, there would be very likely blackening stem. Watering with a watering can is ok (I do not care about spraying succulents - but that's my preference) and should be when soil is dry inside, not just on the surface. They could use some direct sun - but move them into more light slowly (more and more every few days), I think they were in darker conditions for a while and may burn easily. If you keep them in indirect sunlight, they will start etiolating - growing long and thin with leaves spaced far apart, because they will stretch toward more light, and color will not be as good as it should be....See Moreseil zone 6b MI
