mystery, we are baffled
Comments (22)Thanks thefarmguy and catherinet I will look for vole tunnels in the morning. Also we have a fountain that we will be putting in soon I hope. sunnibel7 I feel your pain, but I must say that really cracked me up. OH THE MEMORIES. I was that crazy lady at our other house only it was chipmunks. I am afraid things escalated from chasing to chasing/yelling and then to chasing/yelling and throwing rocks. Fortunately, for them, they made me so insanely angry that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the rocks. I swear they did it on purpose for their own entertainment. We have been really lucky to have a pair of hawks nest here the last 4 years so they cleared up quite a few of the rodents. Thanks again for the suggestions. I'll look for signs of voles. Haven't seen any rabbits, but again it doesn't mean they are not there....See MoreI walk every day and still nothing
Comments (7)I am approaching 40, and mentally blamed my extra (more than 10) pounds on thyroids, hormones, premenopause, stress, etc. Been carrying the extra weight since about 1997. Last year, I jogged 2.5 miles a day, and did aerobics. But still no loss. In May, went to doc, and got a clean bill of health. No more mysterious excuses can fly now! So this past June, at my highest weight ever, I joined WW. So far, I am losing consistently each week, about 1 pound. Doesn't sound like a lot, I know, but it has made a big difference. I am down 1 to 2 pants sizes, depending on how much they have "shrunk" (yes, another excuse), and about 14 pounds. My energy is now really high, and I am finally learning a better way to eat. Mentally, everyone knows about portion control or eating 5 fruits and veggies. But until this program, I could not do it. WW gave me a way of 'budgeting' what I eat in a managable way. And the pounds that daily jogs could not burn off, are finally melting away. I recommend not using dietary supplements, no matter how tempting a quick fix is. Hey, if *I* can lose the extra weight, ANYONE can. I thought I was hopeless. Once I got an OK on my health from the doc, I knew that it was my eating habits that were preventing me from losing the weight. And by doing it with healthy eating changes, I am striving to make this a lifetime switch. With pills, you are relying on something that you can't really keep up for life. I have a 4 y-o DD, and I want to be able to play and keep up wtih her, and now I CAN!! Hope my story helps! Comments (19)I have a LG waveforce washer which is based on the GE harmony, both made by LG. Ive had it for just over a month, though I havent experienced dry clothes or excesive sudsing in my machine (rock hard Water here) I can tell you this much. Your machine senses the load by how much resistance there is when it first starts and the impeller moves back and forth. The more resistance, them more water it will use to fill the load. I can and have used my cotton/normal cycle for sheets, but I do perfer to use my Bulky/beding cycle for it. It uses more water, and the sheets move around more "freely" As far as your water being soft, yes keep decreasing the detergent amount till you get the suds under control or changed detergents. I know if I add STTP to my wash, I can turn out some major suds, at least when I had a FL, making cool whip was not a problem LOL. Currently I can use Regular Tide, not HE lavender scent with no sudsing issue. Im sure my rock hard water has much to do with that. Plus al of tide Normal detergents do have a suds surpressor in them as stated on the tide website. I am more on a powder kick these days, it smells better and seems to work the same. I mainly use Tide and gain HE Recently Tried the new Wisk HE, works as good, smells decent, not too heavy and cheaper too. Persil rules though for cleaning performance and a truely clean rinse, but you gotta pay for it, not everyone cup of tea. I hope this helps you out some and keep us posted...See MoreGirls with Goals. Comments (18)I am at the point that I want this baby blanket done and out of my life so I can move on to something that is fun. I have to have it done by Tuesday morning. I finished the hand quilting several days ago. I still need to take the pins out, press the wrinkles out, square it up and do the binding. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed thinking there is too much still a lot to do on a project (even if there isnt). When I think of the blanket and all the work still to do it stops me in my tracks. I have been doing anything but work on it. So I am going to only look at part of what I need to do on it instead of the entire blanket. Make it into several smaller projects. All I need to do today is unfold it, just kidding. All I need to do today is take the pins out and press it. I have been talking out loud to, so thank you for listening. Suellen...See Moremamapinky0
