Part of lawn growing slower, and lawn feeding question

Joel Basque

I have a new lawn (at least 6 weeks old, maybe more) that started growing quickly but then some parts have slowed down. I'm wondering if this is just spout and pout or is my lawn dying (it's lighter green). Would food/fertilizer help it survive?

That brings me to my second question... I do want to feed my lawn but I'm not sure what to put. I saw that there is fall fertilizer on sale at our local hardware store. Can I spread that now, and do I just spread that and I'm good to go until next spring? Anything else I should put on my lawn?
