UK Ariel Professional (Where to buy Online?)
Comments (3)I have used UK Ariel and liked it. I bought it from the britsuperstore along with Comfort fabric softener. I've ordered about 3 times over the last 3 three years. Usually will order the FS and include the Ariel powder. On my last older I noticed that there were a lot Ariel detergent tablet varieties for sale and only small 10 wash load amounts of the powder. I don't want the tablets so didn't include detergent in that last order. I usually use German PERSIL but am now trying the Miele Care laundry stuff. My experience with Ariel UK is from 2 years ago when I compared it with Tide He, and Persil Megaperls. The formulations for all of these products may have changed and you may get different results in your water. The Ariel(for colors and one for whites) cleaned very well. I liked the way it rinsed cleanly from the clothes. There was no overpowering scent which is good. I did not think it cleaned as well on heavy soiled whites as the Persil. The britsuperstore is very friendly and quick, but be advised that it costs more to ship than you will actually pay for the products which is why I included other items like Fs in the shipment. I remember reading that the use of Zeolites is being phased out in Europe. The Miele detergent doesn't contain it and I guess the other brands have or will be changing their formulas to meet the environmental requirements, so am no longer sure what the results will be....See MoreMiele Care Products - Laundry
Comments (13)So, I'm just too "giddy" about this stuff. I did a fairly dirty load of whites yesterday. I used the Extra White (extended) setting but only selected very warm to see how it would work. I used the Miele Ultra White with just a touch of the FS. Load came nice and clean, white and smelling just softly. So happy!! I did a microfiber robe last night that had a stain and was getting a little "grungy" looking. I was tempted to use the sportswear detergent as it's for microfiber material but opted for the Miele Ultra Color and a scant bit of Miele FS. Used delicate cycle, cold and the rope looked perfect. It has a light pleasant smell but nothing overpowering. Gee, I really want someone else to try these so we can discuss ... otherwise, I'll keep talking to myself ... LOL. I looked up a professional cleaner in the Toronto area that has the Miele Wet Care system. If anyone is interested, they show some neat videos of the system at work. Someone had posted that the Miele Care (home) detergents were repackaged formulas from their professional line so I was curious. So far they seem to be doing a great job and most importantly for me, not smelling up the place. Really, just lovely fresh scents. It also proves that my Frigidaire must not have been rinsing as well. My friend had given me some Miele Care to try when I still had the Frigidaire and I found the scents overwhelming ... residue perhaps? I always use the sensitive option for rinsing on my Miele. Comments (94)I never wash my down beds - that clumps the feathers ! I do hang them out in the winter to fluff them up ! Like the German story for children : Frau Holle :) I guess it is a preference :) but Germans never wash their down comforters ( they usually cost about 300 dollars and upward , depending on the feather fill ) I just got rid of some my mom used to have about 45 years old !...See MorePersil PROFESSIONAL arrived today. Comments (29)Judging by the German Persil Pro powder: oxy bleach comes 4th and bleach activator 6th. Zeolite, a water softener popular here, is somewhere in the middle. That's good - I find - because this stuff does not dissolve and is the reason why dedicated cycles for dark clothes use a lot of water in the rinses (to flush visible zeolite residue off the clothes). Persil Megaperls has zeolite as the first ingredient. Finally there are enzymes at the end of the list. Six of them, which sounds pretty good....See MoreLaundry Mich
