Albertson stores carry Arm and Hammer HE. For instance, the Albertson store in my area is Jewel/Osco, so you will have to go to the Albertsons website to see if there is one near you. You can also contact Church and Dwight and they can tell you where you may be able to get it. Also, if it is of any interest you can now get Arm & Hammer Essentials Free 3X HE at Drugstore.com. However, it is pretty expensive. I am waiting for it to come out in stores before I try it as it will not cost as much. When I called Church and Dwight they asked me if I could call back in a couple months to check on the store availablity status of the new detergent. It is so new to the market that it has not really hit any stores yet.

I have used A & H baking soda in the wash for years, with great results. It doubles the whitening power of liquid chlorine bleach, which means I can use half the recommended 'dosage' of bleach when I wash really dirty white clothes and towels. I also use baking soda on my guys' stinky clothes they wear for outdoors work. It does a great job of deodorizing them. I have noticed it also softens water, which should be a boon for those who live in hard-water areas. Overall, it's a great detergent cleaning booster -- the most inexpensive I can think of. I buy it at a local warehouse store in huge plastic, resealable bags which last several months. (I also use it for other things besides laundry.)

Random comments: I see Tide With Bleach powder at 2 of my local Meijer stores (Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan) so I'm assuming they have it on their national website (Meijer.com). I also see it on Walmart's website. Walmart has free shipping on orders over $50, I think. If rinsed properly, there is absolutely no detergent scent left behind. Mama, the liquid version sure is not the same. No oxygen bleach -- don't know how they can get away with that. Only facial moisturizer/sunscreen I can use: "Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 30." Stays white a while because of the mineral (vs chemical) suncreens but quickly absorbs. Nicely moisturizing also for winter. On my arms and legs I use "California Kids Supersensitive SPF 30," and like miami above it is very thick, white, and doesn't soak in. The neighbors just stare when I also put this on my face, but who cares? Yes, vetwife, Eucerin products are highly recommended by derms and they are very nice. Just want you to know that I was in the SHADE outside when my "rash" started the prickly burning. UV rays are everywhere, even near inside windows. Something about climate chanage and the ozone layer -- I can't keep up. cilantro, I've cut out Zrytec/Claritin and Aleve/aspirin, but cannot cut out my ace inhibitor with diuretic, or anti-depressant. The rash is lessened so, again, thank you for that link. Having a biopsy next week, so I'll be on Tylenol anyway, and that's supposed to be okay. Thanks to this Forum, we all get to help each other in some way.

Hi Mama, Yes, the bucket of Tide is Vietnamese--with a touch of Downey I think. I wished I had a spot to store it. I had to pass on that too, darn it. I don't have much storage in my house. It might be a good detergent based on the Vietnamese Ariel Greeny sent me. Gosh that was good stuff in my water. As for the powder ALL, I ordered that from Amazon several months ago and I have good results with it in my TL. If I do a light pre-wash with a sprinkle of ALL and then a hot wash/soak of my kitchen/cleaning rags, everything is clean clean clean. Better visual results with powdered ALL than powder Mexican Ariel with my very dirty cleaning rags. I use ALL on hubby's t-shirts and such too. I think Greeny said once it had one, maybe two enzymes. I suspect my water and ALL get along nicely. Anyhow, it works as well for me as powder Tide, but I'm not sure why since Tide has more enzymes. Dadoes, I agree. Foca can be VERY sudsy. If my load of whites is dirty enough, the suds are manageable here. I would think the down dosing for a front loader might lead to not being able to use enough detergent to get the load clean though. I wonder if the Roma is as good as Foca or powder Tide? I've not used that one before.
