What's for Dinner ... Tuesday?

It was supposed to be a rainy day today here in my part of Ohio, but it's just a beautiful, partly sunny, breezy, day instead. I'm enjoying it.

My meal tonight will be tilapia, potato, green beans, and sliced tomatoes. I hope I can find more green beans before the season is over.

What was or will be for your main meal today?

It has been very nice here too Shirley. My supper was some leftover chicken noodles, an ear of sweet corn and a piece of pumpkin pie.

Instead of monthly potluck, my group of ladies and gents went to Ginza's Korean BBQ

I had their lunch box and everything was absolutely delicious!

I made a great roast beef with potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and I roasted carrots separately. It made a wonderful thick brown gravy to go over rice. It was wonderful. Had the neighbors over for dinner and a visit. I had picked up some home grown tomatoes at the farmers market and sliced up some of those too.

Glenda: Your food all sounds excellent .. something I'd enjoy. Georgysmom: I wouldn't mind going through that buffet line. And I'm jealous of your husband's meal too. Raven: I'm glad I don't have to choose between your meals. I'd take my tuna salad in a salad. I like my bacon oven cooked too. Susan: We just have to take the chance that we would like a new product, don't we? I do it at least once a month. Sometimes it's a winner..... Raven: I thought I smelled Italian cooking coming up from the south. Sure enough that delicious smell was coming from your house. Kathsgrdn: That must have been one big meal. Aren't leftovers wonderful? Sue: Cook once, eat twice (or more). It's great not just for not having to cook again but financially. Casey: I like baked chicken. I've never tried roasting vegetables. Care to tell me how you do it? Jasdip: What a delicious looking photo! And you made roasted vegetables too. Angela: I can fully visualize one of those kabobs on a plate/platter in front of me. Georgysmom: I bet you're being too hard on yourself. I know you are a very good cook. Glenda: Another great sounding restaurant. Got a chuckle out of what your meal was called. We had an unplanned dinner guest. My daughter's first husband had taken their son swimming, and got back here just as dinner was coming out of the oven. The kitchen smelled so good--I could tell he noticed, so I invited him to stay. We all shared a pleasant meal--my daughter, her husband, her ex, and their son. I'm so happy for grandson's sake that everyone gets along.

Left over pork roast will be the basis for soft-shell tacos. All items in small dishes. Fix it yourself.

Well maybe nothing, we just had a freak storm come through here with very strong winds and hard rain. It knocked out the power, I heard lighting and a loud boom so I guess it blew a transformer. The power is out to over 4000 people and they estimate out till around 7. It getting hot quick! I can't cook until it is back.

Leftovers here, too. I'm going to make chicken fajitas with the chicken from last night, plus grilled green, yellow sweet peppers, and onions, avocado, chopped lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream, all on a flour tortilla. I'll mix up a little fresh salsa, too, I guess.

Still close to 90 degrees here. Cheeseburgers on the grill, french fries, cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes.

We got a good rain yesterday, hard. The car looks great! :-)

Was supposed to rain today, but it didn't, but is somewhat humid.

I cooked a pork chop, some fried potatoes, steamed some green pole beans and had some macaroni salad.

I am powered up. Have chicken cacciatore cooking and will have it with fettuccine. The AC is back on thank goodness.

Shirley, my green beans have petered out, though I'm hoping for a little boost as it cools down. I really enjoy fresh picked beans.
