I have some baby back ribs I am going to rub down and have for dinner with a small salad and a slice of a mini watermelon.

It has been a dreary day in the mountains of NC, too. We are meeting some friends for Mexican food and a couple of margaritas! Sure a good feeling to get out of the cabin!

It is pourring here right now. I have bridge tonight and am hoping it lets up a little before I have to leave (6:15). I'm just going to cook up a hamburger with onions and mushrooms. Just enough to fortify me for the evening.

We will have BLTs with some pork & beans from a can. Probably a salad but then maybe not. Will play it by ear.

Pork Chops, Baked potatoes, Artichokes, Salad

It's supposedly 61 here but feels like 40 to me. I just came back a little bit ago from taking Lauren for a burrito at Qdoba and then to work. We both will have leftovers. Haven't been in a while and it was very limey-tasting today.

I'm making a fajita/rice casserole and a green salad for dinner. I made a summer fruits crisp, and there is vanilla ice cream for dessert.

We went to Pizza Hut. We were supposed to have pot roast, but I had already packed that pot. We are moving and signed the final papers today. Closing is next week.

I made salmon patties, flavored with dill weed and lemon zest, and coated with cornmeal before frying. Robert had his with homemade tartar, a sliced tomato, on a bun. I had mine minus the bread and plenty of green stuff from the garden.

We had Great Northern soup beans and cornbread for lunch. I just had a bowl of cereal this evening.

frankginakay: I'm glad to hear you were able to get out today. I like my own food but I really like going out too.
Georgysmom: Sometimes a burger just fits the occasion, especially when in a hurry.
Janey: I hope I remember to get some bacon soon. I like canned pork n beans too.

Alice: That casserole sounds interesting. Wish I had a taste of it. Of course, your dessert sounds terrific.
Pam: Congrats on your move. When is moving day? Aren't you glad for fast food places for times like this?
Rhizo: I use dill weed in my salmon patties too. And I eat them without bread. I often have creamed peas with mine.
Sue: I'd gladly take a bowl of your beans. One of my favorites. You can also throw in a piece of cornbread too.

My husband cooked....and when he does...it is almost always pork chops...so that is what we had. With it we had mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans with bacon.

Romaine salad with slivered almonds and chicken carbonara.

Marilyn sue, we almost had white beans with ham, then I didn't get the beans soaked and I thought the last time I soaked them overnight in the refrigerator it turned out better than the quick soak.

Dinner became chicken and dumplings in the pressure cooker. I took the chicken and broth out of the electric pressure cooker and transferred to a pot on the stove for cooking the dumplings. And, I'll admit today to those being Bisquick dumplings ;) Some blueberries with yogurt and a green salad.

Raining here too, almost all day. It rained yesterday.

Gadgets, yes, she is home and working almost every day. Her boss picks her up and brings her home on days I work. They live in our little town too. She works in the state capital, about 15 minutes from us.
