It was a nice day here also Shirley. My meal tonight was spaghetti topped with cooked zucchini, sweet yellow peppers, onions, chunky garden spaghetti sauce and melted Mozzarella on top. Very filling.

Since midnight we have had about 1.5 inches of needed rain. I am sure that my veggies appreciate that.

My mother used to make something like this: chicken, wide noodles and veggies in a creamy garlic sauce. I do it a bit different, but she is not here to criticize. And a lettuce salad.

We actually had a break from the heat, although still humid. The heat warnings were lifted today.

Leftover pork tenderloin, leftover brown rice with grilled vegetables and some leftover grilled zucchini. Good thing we love leftovers!

I made a big pot of cranberry dry beans with sausage and ham and some rice last night so tonight it's leftovers.

Heat wave not yet gone. I went out and got a pulled pork sandwich. Finally found a local place that does them like I like them, They normally serve then on a bun but are happy to put it on a toasted French roll instead. Had it with a side of slaw about a third of which i put on the sandwich. Ate the rest on the side.

There's a snap of cold in the air. People got out the long sleeved shirts today. It's supposed to get down in the 40's at night the next few days.

DH had left over sausage and pepperoni pizza. I had ramen noodles w/ a few croutons. Cottage cheese on the side.

Ice cream for dessert . Hot herb tea.

I made a pile of zucchini noodles, sauteed them briefly in a little butter with some minced garlic and served it up with grilled shrimp and smoked sausage kabobs. I steamed some broccoli, too, to stir in with the zoodles.

It's been very rainy here and very steamy when it isn't raining. No sitting on the patio, that's for sure.

We're having hamburgers and French fries tonight.

BBQ chicken thighs, stuffing, spinach was on the table last night. Making salmon burgers tonight, thanks to Shirley's inspiration!
