Does this mean what I think it means? (pics)
Comments (6)Thanks everyone for the input. I sprayed them both with Murphys Oil soap diluted with water - hope that was the right thing to do. My county extension service said the treatment for mites was to spray with "horticultural soap," which I could buy at Lowe's or make my own. So I used Murphy's since I had read about others' using it. I have nothing to lose since they are quickly on their way out. I thought mites was a problem that the west coast/dry climates had to deal with and that it was not an issue in an extremely humid environment! Well, we'll see what happens. If I can salvage just one of them I will be happy. Oh, I think I could see the tiniest of specks on the undersides of leaves which came off when sprayed. If they were mites, they were really hard to see (didn't have a strong magnifying glass). And I see webs all the time, but thought thay was just spiders since they're everywhere. (I still wonder if there will be a worm in the tomato when I cut it open!) :-)...See MoreWhat does this contract wording mean to you?
Comments (13)I didn't have to bring it up to the builder. My dh ran into her on the lot and she said the same thing to him. Apparently I misunderstood what she meant by cleaning. According to dh.....we are to clean it up as if we were moving in right before the hardwood floor guy comes in to sand and refinish the floors. We have to clean it really well so dust and dirt don't get in the finish. This makes sense to me and I agree with this. It will be professionally cleaned in the end. Glad I didn't say anything! I know it seems crazy to not want to do the final clean after all of the heavy lifting we have done. Not doing it was just something I was looking forward to. I'm so sick of cleaning that I don't think I would do as good of a job at it as the pro's. I'm sure I would rush the job and regret it. If I ever build again I will definitely pay for all of the clean-up!!!! That might be my new advice to the newbie builders....See MoreWhat the heck does this mean?!....
Comments (4)Thanks for the replies. The second poster was correct, there's a backorder on the fabric. However, the manufacturer admitted there's no guarentee that it will come in when it's supposed to. It's coming from "overseas" (of course). I don't know what to do at this point. Thinking that things happen for a reason I decided to check out (and test out) a couple other swatches that are currently in stock and they're all grabbing alot of cat hair. But - so is the original fabric I chose, now that I'm testing out that swatch again. I'm up in the air as to what to do. I'm set on this model couch from this manufacturer. I certainly don't want to be told at the end of May that the fabric didn't arrive. And now I'm finding that none of the fabrics are pet-hair friendly. I don't know what to do....See MoreWhat does 'business casual' mean to you?
Comments (23)OKwriter, I'm a sales rep (pharma)and we do many business trips at the business casual level. And I can tell you, there are always some who wear jeans, running shoes (sneakers), and sleeveless blouses, open-toed shoes or flimsy sandals. However, I can also tell you that "upper management" remembers these wayward souls come promotion time. Now, I for one, don't care to travel with anything more than a carry on bag. I'm amazed the reps I see in the hotel lobby with two large, checked bags, and a couple carry-ons. WHAT ARE THEY, MOVING THERE!!!!??? For me, for a 5 day stay, I take 2 pair of slacks, (I love knits to avoid pressing, but either way is fine). Three blouses and yes, I repeat wear them. Make them interchangeable with the 2 slacks, and good grief, not exposing cleavage. A leather belt if needed. Two pair of neutral shoes, I prefer a low heel pump, that I have shined ahead of time. Usually black, navy, or brown depending on the color selections. I pack matching trouser socks or knee high hose. Enough undies, and one pajama. I would take a pair of Bermuda shorts and one polo, not tee shirt for any defined casual group outing or, perhaps a company BBQ. Remember to buy the 3 oz. shampoos, soaps, so you can scoot through security easily. Those gals who pack their quart size shampoo, conditioners, amaze me! Simple accessories...think conservative and classic (and lightweight((my mantra)))Earrings, gold necklace, or a couple colored ones to vary with the repeat of the blouses to vary the look. One loose sweater, or unconstructed jacket that can be seen over any of the blouses for the chilly meeting room. Some might bring gym shoes and workout clothes, but never the gym shoes to be worn at meeting. Boom, you're done, and will be perfectly fine....See Moreeld6161
