What does this contract wording mean to you?

In order to save money, my dh and I are the clean up crew. So instead of our builder paying an outside party to clean, she took the cleanup fee off of the bottom line.

It was my understanding that we would clean up after subcontractors but in the end the house would be professionally cleaned by a service for final presentation. She told me today that next week WE need to clean it for move-in.

I pulled out the contract and this is exactly what it says in the misc. notes section....

Buyer to run clean up and scrap between subcontractors.

House to be cleaned and ready for move-in buyers.

To me, that second line indicates that it will be cleaned "for" me, not "by" me.

This might seem petty at this point but I really was looking forward to a sparkling clean house when I moved in. It takes some of the fun out of it when I have to clean it like a professional myself.

What do you guys think? Should I just let it go or am I right?
