Another New Arm & Hammer Detergent
Comments (8)Hi Cheryl, how are you? Yes, I too saw this at Costco. It does have enzymes, and I am too nervous to try it out on my sensitive son's clothing. It doesn't have the same "unscented" scent as the regular a&h free and clear. It's just not worth the risk, as my son does fine with the one I am currently using without enzymes. His clothing come out nice, no fading and colors are nice. I do pretreat out of the washing machine with oxyclean etc... and then rinse it out by hand. The one I get at shoprite, does not say oxyclean on it. I am sure this would be a great choice for people without enzyme allergies. It was $11.79 for that huge bottle....See MoreArm & Hammer Oxi Formulas...Sneaky!
Comments (5)I noticed that too. Same flavor, different sizes, large one said enzymes, small one said "may contain enzymes." Littlegreeny, I wondered too, how do you know what you're getting?...See MoreArm & Hammer vs All
Comments (27)Random comments: I see Tide With Bleach powder at 2 of my local Meijer stores (Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan) so I'm assuming they have it on their national website (Meijer.com). I also see it on Walmart's website. Walmart has free shipping on orders over $50, I think. If rinsed properly, there is absolutely no detergent scent left behind. Mama, the liquid version sure is not the same. No oxygen bleach -- don't know how they can get away with that. Only facial moisturizer/sunscreen I can use: "Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 30." Stays white a while because of the mineral (vs chemical) suncreens but quickly absorbs. Nicely moisturizing also for winter. On my arms and legs I use "California Kids Supersensitive SPF 30," and like miami above it is very thick, white, and doesn't soak in. The neighbors just stare when I also put this on my face, but who cares? Yes, vetwife, Eucerin products are highly recommended by derms and they are very nice. Just want you to know that I was in the SHADE outside when my "rash" started the prickly burning. UV rays are everywhere, even near inside windows. Something about climate chanage and the ozone layer -- I can't keep up. cilantro, I've cut out Zrytec/Claritin and Aleve/aspirin, but cannot cut out my ace inhibitor with diuretic, or anti-depressant. The rash is lessened so, again, thank you for that link. Having a biopsy next week, so I'll be on Tylenol anyway, and that's supposed to be okay. Thanks to this Forum, we all get to help each other in some way....See MoreArm and Hammer
Comments (8)Mama most of my loads are done on hot... Ive been using a plain jane GE toploader and the hot water is too hot to touch. Sometimes I do a warm wash but very rarely... tap warm here at the moment is on the hot side, close to 125. The cold rinse water is very very warm, temps range from 105-115 usually. Ive never really cared for liquids all that much, never thought they cleaned as good as powders. When I was using liquids, (with this current machine) I would do a warm wash first followed by a hot soak/wash and I could still smell body oil. Granted I do have pregnancy nose and I'm very sensitive to smells but... the oils must be there if I'm smelling them. So I switched over the powders and it got a bit better. I couldn't smell anything while the clothes were wet but I would catch a whiff when taking things out of the dryer. I tried a warm wash tonight on sheets, temp was 121 at the start of the cycle, no soak, no double wash... just the A&H powder and they smelled clean... no scent after the dryer and no oil smell! :-D ETA: Tide powder wasn't completely fixing the problem but it was much better than the liquids... totally went away with the A&H though. I can't believe I'm this excited about a detergent lol but I'm really loving it...See Moremamapinky0
