I still feel like I'm behind, though. Probably mostly because I SERIOUSLY cut back on my container count this year. I might have 40-50 perennials out there, and another 24 maybe in other stuff. My usual count is somewhere between 200-400+ I want to do a sale, but iffy on whether or not to do it; people are finicky...I did "ok" last year, but ignorant people snubbed their noses at the small (but full) containers of seedlings (3.50 per jug with up to hundreds of seedlings in it). Ok, so what should I do then? Have my sale in July when everyone's nursery plants are starting to fail miserably? Should I charge 10x as much in July as I would have in May/June in the seedling stage and charge them 3.50 for ONE rud or ONE petunia? (rolleyes). I really don't WANT to babysit containers until July...it's bad enough that I might not get all of my OWN planted out by then, but to have to make SURE that containers don't die...well, mid-July I'm off on other ventures...and when they're MINE..."I'll get to it, or I won't" and either way works. My veggie patch is still under construction (I build borderless raised beds); my onions will be here any day now... I feel like having ordered my toms so late that even a week in April is a lot of wasted germination time. I have mosaic projects not started or finished that I've committed myself to (another forum)...I just feel like I'm not getting anything done and time's a wastin' Maybe I'm just usually "early" and have everything out by now and this "lateness" that I'm feeling really isn't at all.

shambo, I think your right. I don't think dad can tell the difference with what's going on with his body. When he was living at home alone he got to where he'd drive himself to the doctors office for the one thing or another but the next day when I'd see him he'd tell he didn't trust the nurse when she'd tell him he was fine. He also has problems with both doctors and nurses at frist he thinks they're ok and then he'll tell me that they turned on him and not treating him the same. Maybe they got tired of his complaint and always insisting something was wrong even when they fixed the problem but he didn't think it was fixed. I did not mention that the day nurse called me Friday but I missed the call but she left a message. Telling me that she needed to talk to me about my dads condition. Needless to say I worried the rest of the weekend as to what she had to tell me but was sure if it was serious they'd keep trying to contact me or leave a message to call them ASAP. I planned it out to call the nurse to fins out what she had to tell me and when I called I find out that Friday was her last day working there. I talked to the new nurse and told her I'd like for my dad to be placed on something for his depression or anxiety. He's been on zoloft and said he didn't like it. I went and checked on two homes today but they were rehab/memory care centers. One looked really nice but no room the second one didn't look near as nice and the area they hold dementia care persons is very small with only one short hallway. I'll look into a nursing home that handles someone with problems like my dad. Problem in Texas is that if the person becomes combative they can call me up and tell me I have two days to fine a new place for him. Now you know it's not that easy to find a place and it's not good move them around so much. I do not want to be caught without a place for dad to go, this would not be good at all. It does not make since to me at all. It's not like your a normal person renting a home or apartment and making to much noise. It's a case of them being ill and the home should not take them in unless they truly handle all cases or stages of dementia. I also found out that they can get a machine to hook up to the phone that links it to dads doctors for a check up on the pacemaker, Now why they don't know this or if it's a case of not wanting to do it. I haven't a clue but I will be asking them tomorrow about it.

My contract says the job site hours are 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. My lead carpenter prefers to work through lunch and leave early, so my house has often been quiet by 4 or 4:30. I did let the electrician stay late one night. He was there til 7:30. He fell behind, and the inspector was already scheduled for the next day, and we all wanted to stay on schedule with that. And, the tile person will grout today, a Saturday. It was scheduled for yesterday, but the tile stuff didn't set quite enough, probably due to high humidity here. But, both of these required my permission.

If you cut it by 50%, it will be a new color. One that you have no idea what it will look like until you buy the can and have it mixed. And now you own a can of paint whether you like the color or not. Cutting formulas is an exercise in futility. You've mentally decided to move on to a new color by thinking 50% could work, so just revisit the chips and choose a new color. What you don't have the advantage of is color constancy. You're not living with the color/color samples during the hours when you like what it looks like. Color constancy is a function of our vision system. Without it, humans simply would not survive. Less dramatic is what happens in our house. Bananas are a good example. Everyone has an established perception of banana yellow. That perception doesn't change from the bananas sitting on a bright southern-facing kitchen counter to the bananas sitting on a northern-facing dim dining room. Even tho the two colors of yellow would indeed appear quite different, we don't notice because of an adapted sense of color constancy for the color of yellow that bananas are supposed to be. The same happens in your house when you live with color. After a room is painted, it takes about two weeks to adapt. An average of color constancy develops and eventually you don't even notice the color shifts. That's why people will sometimes say they've learned to live with a color. And sometimes people really don't like the color they end up with. In which case, it's important to repaint and not live with it. To avoid that happening and since you don't have the advantage of living in the same space you're coloring, a decent rule of thumb is if you like a color under daylight (around noon, not direct sun), incandescent, and fluorescent illumination, odds are good you will be happy with the color once it's up.
