Any tips for growing Chihuly? and for floribundas to grow in heat?

I am in Zone 7b, and this is that strip by our driveway, against the south wall (stucco) of our house. I see that Chihuly is supposed to take the heat, and our roof will shade that area some in the noon hours of the day. It always get morning and afternoon sun.
I am angling to get a Chihuly, if the nursery has any left on April 14th. There is room for maybe one other small rose bush in the same area, if we get two, I have to decide what else. Looking for floribundas in rich yellow or red or deep tones, whites and pastels seem to wash out or get dingy in our dry heat.

My daughter loves the english or cabbage rose round blossoms, so may have to look for something like Margo Koster...
