What are you planning on cooking?

(not What's For Dinner...the rest of it) FOAS sounded so wistful in the white thread. So let's talk about cooking!

I've been overladen with work, but I did something bad to my back, so I'm declaring a longer weekend. Cooking is good because it's moving around but not so demanding as laundry (or unpacking shipments, which I'm supposed to be doing). :) And it just so happens I already had plans.

1) Finally getting to make the Creamy Chickpea and Spinach soup from Sunset

2) I have all kinds of goodies for making lasagna for the freezer. I have some boxed if I'm not up to cranking out dough.

3) I have a butterflied chicken. It's actually just supposed to be dinner. :) I'd entertain suggestions though. I just bought some cashews... It could turn into something interesting.

4) I want to make the ....sauce.... LPink ?? posted? ? ? It sounded like it would be good with black bean pasta.

  1. I have a packet of hemp tofu, which is highly unlike normal tofu. I can't figure out what to make with it, and it needs using... I think it might need to be grilled with a really sticky sauce, but I don't know any really sticky sauces. Suggestions?

6) I have some straight fat zucchini. I should try a veggetti thingumabob.

7) Definitely roasted eggplant spears.

8) Broccoli slaw (the comfort food of vegetable salads).

9) Kale chips..

  1. Something with turnips.
  2. Roasted celeriac? Puree? I have some mascarpone. I could go decadent on its ass. :)
  3. Something with sugar snap peas and mixed baby greens.

Maybe not the celeriac unless someone wants to clean it for me. Do I have to make it if my back hurts?

That is so weird! It took my raw typing with parens and turned 5 and 10-11 into formatted lists. Maybe the formatting they promised really is coming? Or something is leaking. :) Well, either way, something is leaking. :) Now it turned the 5 into a 1 and 10-12 into 1-3. Curiouser and curiouser!
