I don't have a suggestion for you, but it's interesting that you said "bug spray." Sometimes other women's cologne (or whatever they are wearing) smells like bug spray to me too!

I love the scent of lemons, and I also love the scent of coconut. Separately, of course.

I love the Origins Ginger scent.

I also like the Johnsons coco butter baby lotion, it's in a brown tube not a bottle, it's really thick and creamy.

The one that I use, a reflection of who I am, is 'dirty clothes.'

Febreze.

My favorite is Japanese Cherry Blossom.

From Bath & Body Works, I like:
Sensual Amber (may have been discontinued)
Japanese Cherry Blossom
Butterfly Flower
"Twilight Woods" or something similar to that.

Anything by Jo Malone, her entire line is made to be layered, one scent body wash, a different cream, then if you want, your perfume. Pricy but worth every penny!

I recently found Whish at Costco.....such a sweet Lavender scent.

Today when leaving work there were sample bottles of "Girlfriend By Justin Beiber" I don't like him but the the spray cologne/perfume was very nice. I may just try the lotion. The scent has lasted several hours already.

I guess I will just have to spray everywhere I see samples until I find my scent.

I also have to be careful with scents. They not only make me have a headache but my eyes itch and sometimes I will break out in hives. From Bath and Body Works, I can use Moonlight Path - a light lavendar scent. I also like White Citrus. Anything like the musk scents (Sensual Amber, even though I like the smell of it) will make my eyes itch with in a few minutes.

I recently have been on a search for a new scent in lotion or bath powder since I can't wear the perfumes. I found one I really liked but hubs didn't care for it. It was Cashemere by Donna Karan. I can't describe it but I put some of the lotion on and it didn't bother me in the least bit and the scent lasted. I ended up with the lotion for the fragrance Beautiful since I had worn the perfume years ago when I still could and l liked it. Hubs liked it but not the price! Oh well, it goes under the Christmas tree so it made it happy - less shopping for him on his own.

Put some of the ones you think you may like on the little cards they have at the counters and lay them on your dresser. See which ones you can tolerate.

As I said, the Moonlight Path at B&BW is the best day to day one for me. The body spray is too much but the lotion is good.

I'm really sensitive to scents. I wear L'Occitane's Lemon Verbena most of the time. I just love it. I also wear their Lavender. Both are clean, light scents; not heavy at all.

We don't have a Bath & Body Works nearby, but someone once gave me the Moonlight Path lotion and I liked it a lot. We joked about the name, and what could possibly smell like that on a moonlit path. Surely not rocks and dead leaves. :-)

I read at one point that B&BW has a cotton blossom scent. I can't vouch for that one, but I've smelled other cotton blossom/cotton flower scents that were heavenly.

I was out walking with my daughter and kids during the Thanksgiving weekend, and we had a woman walk towards us, that was in a cloud of smell.

We were shocked, at how strong her perfume smell was. YIKES, there wasn't anything she could smell, I am sure off.

I still use Jean Nate after bath splash, a little old fashioned but I like it and it doesn't linger for a long time. I also like the powder if and when I can find it.

I also like Jean Nate splash or Sung by Alfred Sung...

j r Watkins..IF you can find the lotion, lemon! omg you smell like a lemon cookie! found their room spray and hand wash at menards...that's more true lemon....the room spray isn't "heavy"...

I gave up a long time ago. Unscented lotions for me - otherwise I smell like rancid baby powder/bug spray.
