Are you a Bath & Body Works soap fan?

I know this sounds crazy, but I am a huge fan of B&BW liquid hand soap!

Link below in case you've never used it.

I use this at all the sinks in the house. Not only do they clean well, they smell good and most have a gritty substance to get grime off. And they purty up a room. :)

I tried saving money and bought other name brand liquid soaps, but literally ended up throwing them away and ordered more B&BW soap. lol

Plus, each bottle last a long long time. And they scent up the room you use it in!

Anyone else hooked on this stuff?

:) actually, the only problems I've ever had is finding scents that both DH and I like- honestly, lilac does smell funny on large, burly men- not to mention that it seems to 'spoil' faster on them! Karma Sutra's Clove is our favorite, but it's a once a year treat to buy a bottle, since it's not cheap. Yves Rocher makes some great ones in Green Tea, bamboo, and Cypress (along with rose, honeysuckle, and watermelon) that DH really likes, as well- and you can usually get them for like $3 a bottle.

It's often the fragrance added to soap that is the problem, as well as synthetic detergents. Formulas for "soap" get changed all the time. DOVE sensitive skin, unscented, hypo-allergenic, and fragrance free - list of ingredients: sodium lauroyl isethionate, stearic acid, sodium tallowate or sodium palmitate, lauric acid, sodium isethionate, water, sodium stearate, cocamindo-propyl betaine or sodium C14-C16 olefin sulfonate, sodium cocoate or sodium palm kernelate, sodium chloride, tetrasodium EDTA, tetrasodium etidronate, maltol, titanium dioxide Compare that to a bar of Kirk's Castile Soap: Coconut Soap, Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Coconut Oil, Natural Fragrance - which is also hypoallergenic, all natural with no animal by-products or synthetic detergents. [Unfortunately, I can only use it in the shower, not the tub, with our hard water.] I make foaming soap for the hand dispensers by mixing 3 tablespoons Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap or Kirk's Castile Liquid (or other liquid soap) with 1 c. water. If you want to make it disinfecting hand soap, add 8 drops of Thieves Oil - especially during cold and flu season. Thieves oil is a natural disinfectant with an interesting story, but the oils are clove bud, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and rosemary. You can make it with the individual oils (there are recipes available on-line), or purchase them already mixed - 5 Thieves Oil, 4 Thieves Oil (check Amazon.com). I just recently purchased a bottle of Mirai body cleanser. This liquid soap was designed for "older" people. I read recently "beginning around age 40, a personÃ¢ÂÂs body odor contains a higher concentration of 2-Nonenal, a compound that has an unpleasant, greasy, grassy odor that we affectionately call Ã¢ÂÂold-people smell.Ã¢ÂÂ So for every problem look for a solution, and for this condition it is persimmon extract, which lead me to information about Mirai. I use arbonne products for my face and Jason body wash for the rest of the body. In colder months, I use a lavender oil salt scrub from Trader Joes. Body moisturizer I use a coconut cream from Trader Joes too. Most of my beauty products are organic (except for hair conditioner). I have pretty much tried everything out there, and can't believe what I like the most I buy at TJs. But over the last few years I've had a few very young friends diagnosed with strange cancers. I had a bone tumor, my sister had a thyroid tumor, my next door neighbor had a huge lung tumor (all of which were benign- thank goodness) but it made me wonder about all the chemicals we expose ourselves too daily. So I've decided to go organic, in food, beauty products, and limit my family's exposure to all of the toxic chemicals available in main stream supermarkets. I know, not what you asked for in your original post, but something to think about.

Thanks everyone... I didn't think it would be a big deal, but I wanted to make sure. I'm going to use the hand soap as our body wash. As for antibacterial, I have to use that on my face - No choice. I don't know about the whole you should/should not use antibacterial becuase of the "buggers" that are out there, and i'm going to sound a bit gruff here - I don't really care about it. I lived without all the antibacterial stuff and I do see some value in being exposed and value in being protected. This is the one soap that I have it in, so I don't feel that I'm overdoing it. My son has to use the liquid soap because his hand can't seem to find the bar rack in the shower after he's done, so I wind up with mushy soap on the floor the next morning. But we have to have soap - I mean he's 9 and he wears dirt like clothes, so he needs to have a way to wash it off...This was just inexpensive, so I got it. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something between hand/body soap. What is Zote? I'm going to have to look that up (I prefer bar soap, but can make due with what I have right now.) I don't want to use detergent on my skin or my families skin. I agree, if I were using it for house cleaning or clothes, I'd do something a bit different than soap, but I'm not aware of a "skin detergent" beside soap...if I'm missing something let me know. I want to be safe, environmentally friendly and yet stay within a budget. I try to keep a small footprint, but I'm still a work in process. Anyway, I wanted to say thank you to everyone. I'll let you know if I see "big" changes. I appreciate all of your advice.

Glad to find that other's like it too. They have really nice things on their site and store. Decently priced too.

At Christmas I buy the ladies in the family "girlie" socks.

Right now they're having a 6 for $20 sale on their soaps, I bought 3 for me and 3 for my DIL who is another fan.

I like them a lot too. Recently DD and I saw similar soaps at Bed Bath & Beyond and we bought a couple to try, but haven't used them yet.

I used to love that place but too many times I'd find something I really loved and they would discontinue it. I haven't been in that store in years.

OMG - don't let me near a BBW!

I don't use their hand soap, but the fragrance mist and triple moisturizing body cream is to die for.

I'm also totally addicted to their wallflowers and matching concentrated room fragrance spray.

I not only use their hand soaps, but their body wash, bubble bath, and body lotion. I wait till they have a sale.

Thanks for pointing them out. I need something new for soap, and will check them out. Sounds like a GREAT price.

I used to use their body cream/lotion, and loved it. Sometime got out of the scented stuff, skeeters like you so much more, when you smell pretty. :)

Going to some hand soap today.

I love them - and always have the "Kitchen Lemon" in
my kitchen. I always have a small stash of the bottles,
in case I run out before I can get to the Mall. :)

I have "hooked" a couple of people on them, so I guess
I should have bought some of their stock. :)

I never used it, but have a friend who dashes in there every time we are at the mall to stock up on the stuff and raves about it. I always thought "It's just soap. What could be so different about it?"

I guess I will have to check it out.

Well, I am back. Rode my bike to the mall, 7 1/2 miles. Bought 6 bottles, three for my bathroom, three for Jerry's bathroom. Then on the way home I saw a beauty college, where there wasn't one back when I lived in OKC, and I stopped and got a haircut.

Now, need to hang out till evening to finish my yard work. To hot out.

I have sever allergies to many soaps and Bath & Body Works is one of the few I can use. Their BIG semi annual Big Yellow sale starts on Friday June 11! Make sure you get there!

Love them!! The biggest problem is choosing a scent, so you have to buy a lot. Sometimes they put them on sale even cheaper than those prices. My daughter used to work at B&B and they would get 60% off the sale price. I went crazy buying stuff then!!

I don't use antibacterial anything..I have one child that breaks out with it..and quite frankly warm water and a bit of regular soap works..

I do love Trader Joes Lavender and Chamomile liquid hand soap though.
