The new Budweiser Superbowl Commercial

Has anyone seen it yet? Someone posted it on FB. It is so darn sweet yet again. They set the bar high for themselves from year to year, and they have a winner again this year. At least I think so.

The commercials weren't anything this year like in the past. There are some websites where you can go and check out the commercials. It's OK Sally if you didn't watch the game. But I'm a Colts fan, along with being a Texans fan, and I can only say that the game was very exciting, . . . well at least here at our house. We had 12 people here for a party, and the screaming was exciting. Peyton Manning was hot. And we all enjoyed the half time show with Prince signing Purple Rain as the rain continued to fall heavily. But then we are an "older group of people". Not quite senior citizens yet, but quickly approaching there. HA! It rained and rained and rained. Considering all, with the sloppy field, I really think both teams played well. I read that it was the worst weather ever in Super Bowl history, so all in all we thought that it was a good game. And of course it really helps to watch Super Bowl when you have your favorite team playing. Anyway, I HAD A GREAT TIME!

I do like the Twins/Olympic ad! In a way however, the powerful REAL "Human drama" in that story is a little "lessened" in a way because it's for only a "beer". Can't put my finger on exactly WHY, but there's a slight disconnect for ME anyway. This the original 9/11-Clydesdale ad. Aired only once on TV. Thanks Mcmann, for being a voice of reason. Budweiser is the exclusive beverage sponsor of the Superbowl and has run one time commercials every year during Superbowl since 1976. If they did not want to make money off of their commercials they should have just quietly donated the money that was sent to the advertising agency to create it, and the network for the air time, and the game sponsorship fund, to a patriotic fund, and not done any commercial at all that year. There had been talk in 2002 of not even having a Superbowl game due to the mood of the populace and the extra security issues involved with such a large gathering of people at that time. I'm sure their original idea for one of their notorious wacky Superbowl commercials was scrapped. Budweiser is known for showing offbeat and tasteless commercials during Superbowl. (Check out their famed 'Upside Down Clown' commercial 2004) They had to make themselves look good that year. I can't believe anyone thought that Budweiser put together a commercial with the intent "not to make money" from it. They wanted to get their brand name out there and you can see how well it worked since people are still talking about that Budweiser beer commercial and sending around and around in emails still to this day.

Thanks for the link, Rob. I'm wading my way through them now. I like Liam Neeson's commercial. I'm not a gamer, but I like Liam Neeson. :-) Oh, was that Pac Man? I couldn't figure out any it. Didn't know what he was doing in that maze. LOL Amy Purdy's Toyota commercial was inspiring--although I was not inspired to buy a Toyota. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but the commercial was fun. "Like a Girl" makes a good point. My dad taught me to throw a ball "like a boy" when I was a kid. Much later, a woman said, "He taught you to throw a ball properly." Mindy Kaling was funny. One of these days I'd like to see her show. Is it a network show? I got a kick out of the Katie Couric/Bryant Gumble ad for BMW. I used to watch them on The Today Show way back when. She mentioned in an interview recently that she drives an Audi. But her husband has a BMW. Any idea who's singing "I'm in the Mood for Love" on the Victoria's Secret commercial? Okay, I'll go watch some more now. ;-)

This one makes me laugh out loud! When I saw it on TV the other night, the boy puppy gave her a loud raspberry when she left. Then when they met 2 years later she gave him a loud raspberry back. It isn't as noticeable at youtube.

The is a follow-on from last's year's ad. That one got so many favorable comments, the company decided to make another one.

I saw it on the news, they said this is the 3rd segment. Last year was the first one using the pup and they go so many responses that they made another one.

It made me tear up! Budweiser just hits it out of the park every time.
Do you see these ads all year long, or does Bud just show them at SuperBowl?

Have you heard/seen the GoDaddy ad about a pup? It's been pulled because of all the negative responses and concerns about selling pets online. (A pup jumps out of a vehicle and runs through bad weather to find his way home. The mother is ecstatic that he's back, because she sold him online using GoDaddy).

I thought this one felt a bit contrived. Maybe it's because I don't care for the music as much as last year's. The one last year was fabulous and the one the year before that, with the man raising the horse from a colt and then going to visit it in Chicago, that one was my absolute favorite. This new one is okay.

The Go Daddy commercial was just a rip off on the Budweiser commercial and was done so badly, but I haven't ever liked any of their commercials, I think they are all stupid.
