Samsung front load washer and dryer!

Regardless of what anyone says about Samsung, they do not clean clothes and the dryer balls up sheets so that they have to be untangled EVERYTIME we wash them! 3 members of our family got Samsung sets at approximately the same time within a week of each other thinking we had a great set and didn't have time to warn the other of these reoccurring problems we all three have had that are really Un fixable! My set was for a big ranch house with 12 beds and it takes nearly 2 hours to wash and dry one load of sheets. My front load Kenmore that were 13 1/2 years old when I replaced in my home never failed to clean or dry until I wore them out and I replaced them with the same type unit that was whirlpool (they made the Kenmore) and was even able to put on same pedestals!!!!!! They are great using same proceedure etc as I do with the Samsung. By the way, the glass in the samsung washer broke after only a doz uses and husband replaced because Samsung would not cover warranty from install date. We contracted the build and bought before building was completed and installed 5-6 months later and should have been under warranty! Not only do their washer/dryers cause problems, but their dishwashers suck! Didn't clean dishes and labels on the front where digital buttons were worn off in 6 months (didn't know where to push on) and at first they were going to cover it but then cancelled my work order with no explanation! It is sitting in a warehouse and replaced with an ultra quiet kitchen aid that I love!

I keep reading these Samsung horror stories, I don't know how they stay in business.

I was considering a Samsung TV but have also read not so great reviews (even though highly rated by CR).
I stuck with Sony...again.

Cold water over time is highly corrosive and now we introduce a feature that makes that look clean. Boiling off water to make steam is a great way to make a science fair project inside your washing machine. What a combo - an appliance to clean clothing coupled with a pool of disgusting mineral laden crust sitting inside a steam generator. I'm sure glad LG got everyone believing this was a good idea. Clearly a feature designed by the marketing department not the engineers.

@HU-410414692 Thanks so much for explaining why clothing and household items I've washed for years in cold, now shrink in Samsung's version of "cold". I've ruined too many loved items, things I've ALWAYS machine-washed. So thinking it must have been my error, and I'd forgotten to change the temp setting, I'd try it again. After several such shrinkage mishaps, I knew for certain I was using the cold setting. So I no longer wash anything shrinkable in my machine, even on delicate. I live in Southern California on a raised foundation house. The water doesn't get that cold in the first place, so if this machine adds warm water, as you explained, then I'm screwed for washing wools. I suppose I could wash on delicate in cold on very cold days in winter only and keep my fingers crossed. But it's not worth the risk. And that doesn't happen that often anyway. This shrinkage was the first thing I called Samsung about when I first bought the set. Samsung sent out a repairman because it was under warranty and he couldn't find anything wrong. (roll eyes). The company line was deny, deny, deny. I was so concerned about the machine destroying my things that I forgot to ask about the front coming off every time I opened the detergent drawer. I solved that issue by never using liquids At this point, the set is barely functioning as a washer and dryer for me. I might as well beat my clothes on rocks and dry them on tree branches. If I had the money for a new set, I'd set these on fire, I hate them that much. And I couldn't in good faith sell them to anyone else. Anyone considering buying Samsung: Please reconsider. You'll regret it. Samsung doesn't deserve your business. In fact, there are many other reviews here like mine. If youÃ¢ÂÂre considering the Samsung models also check out the Sears Kenmore Elite models which are built for them by Samsung. We got the 263 649 308 4.0 cu ft model (Canadian #) in the Blue Silver color. It is based on the Samsung 218/219 model with extra features (a diamond drum, 1300rpm withVRT, small items Ã¢ÂÂcatch basketÃ¢ÂÂ and a front drain hose). It also has side handles . . . really nice to help put in place when the fit is tight . . . these are very heavy machines (maybe all FL are????). It has a very good energy rating . . . in the top third of machines I believe and very simple to use. We are very happy with the performance. A much better job than the Whirlpool top loader it replaced. I would recommend using about 60% of the recommended amount of HE powder and simply white vinegar for the rinse. Also check out the Ã¢ÂÂapplianceÃ¢ÂÂ section of this forum. . . . Good discussion on Samsung and other makes.

Our son has a pair of the lower end Samsung washer and dryer that he's had for over two years. To say the least he's hard on things to the extent I don't care for, but his washer and dryer are still going strong. I've seen impressive strides in both LG and Samsung products from when I first started looking at them (approx. six years ago).

I had a Samsung washer for 5 years before the bearings went and up until that point I loved them. We ended up repairing it and giving it to my husbands friend who lost everything in a housefire right before christmas. Its only been a few weeks of course but they are loving it. I have a couple of major samsung appliances and love them. I've also got a 55" plasma TV made by samsung that I bought back in '08 and it's still going strong! It seems to be that you either like samsung or you don't.

I agree that ranting without a purpose, that is to say seeking a resolution to a problem, is pretty pointless. Plenty of people complain about Kenmore washers but I have one and I love it... your bad experience isn't shared by everyone who owns anything by samsung. At least you found a dishwasher you love!

I reject your reality and substitute my own! Anyone who likes their Samsung washer is a liar and a salesman in disguise! I had problems with my machine, therefore everyone had problems with theirs. I'm right, and you're wrong. SAMSUNG: NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has had her Samsung front loaders for almost 5 years and they are fine. No complaints at all, except that she is short and they are tall (stacked)

^Ha, good luck with that. Join date same as post date, no questions asked or help requested, nothing to contribute other than an angry rant... this one has all the telltale signs of a one post wonder.

I will give them that Samsung dishwashers suck though.
