I started using Jane Iredale about 3 months ago and have been very pleased. They sell it where I get my nails done, but from their website, it appears that Nordstroms carries their line.

Hi - this post just reminded me that I need to replenish mine - I use Laremin, which is online & used to be carried @ our local natural foods supermarket. I use concealer only & I love it - always invisible, no cakiness, & I have very sensitive skin.

Alima Pure is great. I've been using it almost since the company started and I love it. They have beautiful colors and subtle shade variations. It's available at some salons but I order online. They have sample sizes in the foundation so customers can find just the right shade without spending very much. The only complaint I have is the amount of email they send, but that's easy enough to filter.

Great question! How are these with rosacea? It seems like everything I try burns my sensitive skin. sigh.....

I am really hoping to try Jane ire dale in a month or two. I used to use bare minerals but my rosecea got so bad it did not cover it.

I am tired of liquid foundation!

I have changed my diet recently and have a huge improvement to my skin. Fingers crossed it will keep improving. Then I can go back to mineral make up.

I have Rosacea and I use Neutrogena bare minerals powder foundation. It is for sensitive skin and is unscented. It works pretty well and I can get it at any drug or dept. store. Inexpensive too. I will NOT do liquid again.

I also have rosacea and have found Jane Iredale to cover very well and not irritate my skin.

I have been using clinique redness foundation. I accidentally rubbed some off my nose a month or two ago at work and someone said "oh my gosh, your nose is so burnt" :p

boopadaboo...would you share how you changed your diet to help your rosacea? I am always looking for ways to be one step ahead of that "expletive deleted" condition!

Marlene - I have had success in drastically reducing my rosacea twice over the last couple of years. I am guessing there might be info on the rosacea boards about something similar. I am no expert for sure and it was not my intended purpose either time!.

The first I did a 21 day juice fast. My skin was AMAZING!

The second recently has been without juice but again it is WFPB no SOS (OK I admit low on the first S :) ) which is whole foods plant based no salt, oil or sugar.

I have also read of people having success on Paleo ( I don't personally think that is healthy I just have to say) I think the common thing is that you are not eating processed food. I think that might be the key.

I have ocular rosacea and it is not fun. I do everything I am told to do but alas...my issues are still there.

I wish I had the willpower to do the juice fast. I am so glad you have found things that help you. I will look at your recommendations.

Marlene - I have beginning ocular rosacea too. I really should go get drops but I have not yet. My eyes tear a lot (and are red). :P it is the pits!

My eyes completely stopped tearing on the juice fast I have to admit, but I think it might have been because my skin was so good I hardly needed any products on it too. I have not seen much of an improvement in my eyes yet with the WFPB no SOS, but I have not been 100% compliant that long so I am still hoping.

I hope you are able to find some relief!

I've been using Everyday Minerals for years - you can order samples to try!

I use Alima Pure currently. I've used Bare Minerals in the past and it's comparable to that except it's even better ingredient-wise. I feel like I need to use a lot of the Alima Pure to get decent coverage, though. I ordered a bunch of foundation samples and chose one I thought worked for my skin tone but I definitely chose too light of a color so if I order more I'll go darker next time. They have SO many colors it's difficult to select the best one...but that also means that even if it's not the perfect shade, it will still blend nicely. I didn't care for the concealer at all, at least not for blemishes. I think it would work well to cover general redness but I've never found anything to cover pimples well at all. The finishing powder is okay I guess...I'm not sure it really does anything. I have oily skin and I get VERY oily throughout the day with any brand, Alima Pure included. I really like their blush, and I LOVE their contouring powders! I have extremely fair skin and am still able to use the contouring powder which is awesome. I'm not totally satisfied with Alima Pure, but I have terrible skin...oily, HUGE pores (I mean huge), acne even as an adult, and I've never been satisfied with any brand...but with that said, if I had normal skin I really think I'd be in love with Alima Pure.

First will need to make sure they don't contain parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, phthalates, dimethicone, petroleum, talc, bismuth oxychloride, or nanoparticles.

Tarte makeup is clay based. I really like what I have.

Sorry for a small highjack here, but rosacea sufferers, check out Broadband Light or IPL's. These treatments have cleared up my rosacea by about 85%. They cost about $250 per treatment but are well worth it. Just make sure you go to a reputable doctor for them.
