The only sports I'm interested in are some of the events in the Summer or Winter Olympics, and being around only once every four years keeps them from wearing out their welcome. I do like March Madness, but mainly for the betting aspects -- I don't actually watch the games. If I did have to pick a pro sport, it might be basketball -- because all these guys are actually taller than I am, and it moves fast. Or maybe ice hockey, just to watch the skating, sound off, who cares who wins???! Rooting for a team only happens when I know at least one player, or have a personal connection to that player or players -- or if I'm rooting against known cheaters. This limits me to Little League, although I did (verbally, without watching the games) root for Joe Montana when he played with San Francisco -- hey, we shared the same college for most of the same years! I don't know enough about the players -- and don't need yet another hobby -- to pick teams for Fantasy Football.

Peaceful protest is everyone's right IN AMERICA -- whenever, wherever -- because this IS America. I do not have a public arena in which to protest, but if I did...I would protest there. I stopped flying my American flag during Cheney's administration -- ashamed that we would lock people up without due process -- and torture them. That terrifies me AS an American. I'm sad about putting the flag out every morning right now. I love my country, but I am ashamed of us. My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. Family has served in WWI and WWII -- fortunately NOT in the undeclared war in Vietnam, nor the other politically/economically motivated 'military actions'. It's never "My country, right or wrong."

After a Seahawks win, people in my neighborhood shoot off fireworks. I've chatted with friends who live in different areas, and the same thing happens in their neighborhoods. I escorted a group of Chinese airline customers to the 2018 Seahawks - Dallas game. We had the Boeing suite, complete with catering. I don't typically go to football games. People in the cheap seats stand during the game, and affording a ticket in better seats is a bit pricey. I was a bit surprised by the reaction of these Chinese customers. I thought that they wouldn't be interested or understand what is going on. But they loved it. And they especially loved the Sea Gals. I saw a couple of the customers recording them, particularly when they jumped up and down. They weren't recording their pretty faces, lol.
