Gosh Karen...just 'Looking' at your retail 'therapy goodies' gave me a lift! I'm so glad you got out for the day to have lunch and shop with GF's. You scored some really great things. That 'bunny frog' is a hoot..looks like he's saying 'get me out of this silly outfit' ! lol Glad Mr O noticed and got a laugh over your Golfing Santa Cookie Jar..and you didn't even have to fill it with cookies! I like the colors on the 'dressed' bunny shelf...I know what you mean about them being dressed, but this one is done nicely...and has a vintage look to him. Your DD found you an impressive looking stag. He should be fun to decorate with next season. It's nice to run away and play for the day and bring home great 'stuff'... I've noticed the destruction that heat can cause to modern receipts, as well - don't sit an operating coffee pot on them! Which one could, with the old paper-and-pen ones - which were far too slow, of course! Often can photocopy a dozen at a time - I do that with charitable receipts that I send with income tax... I want a copy as back-up. And frugal I wishes that the charitable guys would send small receipts - fewer cluttering pages in the income tax back-up materials, which also includes duplicates related to investments - and some of them are full-sized pages, drat it! ole joyful

But...if it doesn't...enter the "Kindle+Fire+for+Dummies" into any one of your search engines [i.e. Google, duckduck, Bing] and it should bring up a long list of "Dummy" books to assist you with the operation of your new Kindle. Additionally...there are a myriad of Dummy books explicitly for computers and their operation. To that...let me add...that you're doing far better...and are braver than me. :-) I don't own a Kindle [or any similar product] and my cell phone is still the flip up kind. I'm loosing my sight to macular degeneration and over the next several years...it's anyone's guess as to what, if anything I may be able to see/operate. Agree with MG, beautiful drawings Sena! Very creative and a lot of very thoughtful details. I do think a dining table works better with this layout and it's nice to see that getting ride of the pony wall behind the sink helps a bit with the narrowness of Morning Room. I actually already have a bench with the farmhouse table:) It lives slid under the table on the side closest to the kitchen unless in use. I also like the efficiency of this layout. With all of the options that have been discussed and drawn it's become clear that I need to prioritize my wants to help me choose. I've since found a few pictures with kitchen cabinets extending into rooms with different ceiling heights and I'm surprised I'm OK with the look. So, any thoughts on my variations above of MG's plan with either an extended or second island? This plan seems to get me the most elements I want with the sacrifice of countertop space.
