I think it has been illegal in Great Britain since 2005, where historically the purpose and goal was to catch and kill the fox. It is not illegal in the United States, where it is about the chase. As soon as the fox goes to ground, the hounds are called off and cast out again to try to find another scent. On the Thanksgiving hunt, perhaps because it was warm and dry (which make the scent hard to follow) they didn't scent or see a fox the entire time they were hunting. But even when they don't see a fox, they are still riding through land like this:so it is still a pretty good time.

Thank you so much. We found it along with lots of others in her desk after she passed away in July; many of I had never seen before. This was for tap dance show she did...Little Bo Peep and it's made out of silk. As kids we took turns wearing it on Halloween, stockings and all. I believe it too was also made by my Grandmother.

Socks - this is an actual apartment (if you can call it that!) and yes, is extremely ornate. Napoleon III didn't live there, since the rooms were used for entertaining and housing guests of the State. The apartment was built between 1854 and 1861 by the architect Hector Lefuel and refurbished in later years. The Louvre was the residence of the Kings of France until King Louis XIV moved to the Palace of Versailles in 1682.

Unfortunately, we can't keep the kitty, although she is doing a very thorough job of worming her way into my heart. We travel a lot and will be gone for four months early next year. She is a doll - very calm yet playful, confident, friendly and smart as a whip. She loves shoes and is currently sleeping with her head inside of one of my Sketchers. I can't imagine she'll have a hard time finding a home. I put up posters around town and posted her to two local FB groups, but not a nibble. Taking her to our local (no kill) shelter in the morning before I get anymore attached than I already am!
