A favorite photo of my mother as a young girl. It was the mid 30's in New York, I'm almost positive my grandmother had knitted the sweater and hat for her.

Thank you so much. We found it along with lots of others in her desk after she passed away in July; many of I had never seen before.

This was for tap dance show she did...Little Bo Peep and it's made out of silk. As kids we took turns wearing it on Halloween, stockings and all. I believe it too was also made by my Grandmother.

They can always find a sunny spot, can't they?

Love everything today and yes what treasures! We are moving stuff back in the house a little bit at a time and seeing what is salvageable . I found some boxes of old pictures and negatives I thought had gone under water but they had not so that was a good surprise . Very hard going and slow exhausting work for the 2 of us .

Jodi, the yellowish sky in your picture makes it look like it could have been taken decades ago.

Bob, you're right, it does have a period piece look to it. Much like all of Cuba so very fitting. It's actually yellow because it was sunset time.
