Kat I'm not sure - I guess because the entrance to the small harbour is so narrow, maybe it was put there so boats wouldn't run into the rocks? There is a small beacon/light on top.

This cactus came from the King Ranch in South Texas...it was only about 2 years old when this was taken...It's about 8 years old now and is huge...The stems or paddles that are quite small here in this photo are now as large as dessert plates at least 6 inches across...and it is covered in a mass of blooms when it is time for it to bloom...It is an amazing site to see...This year, I am going to divide it and put it into a couple more places on the property. Wow Casey those 2 are spectacular I especially love the 2nd one, you can almost smell the woods and the moisture in the air. True works of art . Annie what a beautiful sky ! I can almost see a face and neck and some wild explosive hair lol.

I have one from last month. We covered the pool and grand dog Willis is forlorn.....
