Hope I'm not starting a thread that was already done here.

Did you watch the new game show Duel last night? If so, what did you think?

I was just talking to my sister about this.I really can't decide if i like it or not,think i need to see more.What did you think??

Well, I thought the pace was too slow, the host talked too much, too much "screen down," "screen up," too much discussing who is going home if such and such happens. I think the game was a little too complicated, and there were way too many commercials. Also, I did not like the banter between the contestants.

I'm a big fan of Jeopardy because it is so simple and moves along at a good pace.

I had the sheets on the blueberries ;-) But just pulled all the mulch off the strawberries before it started to rain, they look good, there was only 1 leaf cluster that looked a little weird (light and kind of puckered?), no black centers (how long after frost does it take the damage to show?) and some berries forming. Just came in for lunch - guess I'm not going to get anything planted today, or put anything outside to harden off. I'm not complaining, we need the rain, I'll just have to work outside tomorrow when it's sunny and high 70's (weird weather)! @howelbama - Lowes has frost blankets?! I even called burlap manufacturer near me the other day, they sell shade cloth but no frost blanket. I've never seen any of the big-box stores carry anything like frost blanket or row cover, and the nurseries don't seem to either. Do you have a SKU?

I watched part of it. I don't like hip-hop, but I am a Pop fan so I did like some of the performances. I thought the band was way too loud though on all the songs. I would have liked to have heard the artist's voice. I agree that Jerry Lee did look ill and Miley looked older than she really is. I didn't mind Winehouse's songs, but I kept thinking she was going to pull up her dress or something..she was almost doing the crotch-grabbing thing some of the guys do. She did seem genuinely surprised and happy to have won though. I liked the song Kayne West did for his Mom. It actually made me a little teary. I thought the Beatle's tribute was wierd. Maybe I just didn't get it? Overall I think I would have enjoyed the show if the band hadn't been blaring over the artist's voice on every song.

Didn't finish. Scrapped it after watching about half. Took it off of the TiVo schedule for next week. It's almost a signal when they try to grab your attention right off with random sex, Why??? i guess others like to WATCH? I enjoy several shows where they TALK a lot about it but don't find it necessary to be graphic...and I love Big Bag, Mike & Molly and others of the same genre. I sure wish there was some network shows I could watch with my grandkids like we used to do with our own kids.

Problem with cyber-chatting, Jasdip. I didn't take your comment that way at all - I really was glad you caught it. :). And it really is an awful, awful show. Don't waste your time. The premise was interesting which is why I watched it but 10 minutes in I knew it was awful. Yes, Broadchurch is a British show, it's a murder mystery which spanned two seasons and just finished it's second season. It's just been renewed for a third so I don't know how they'll configure that season - maybe a new murder?

DH and I watched but didn't really care for it much. It moved way too slow and had too much idle chatter. The questions were interesting, but I kept wishing they would move along a lot faster. Bettye

I would change the name from Duel to Dull!

Won't be on my Gotta See It list.

TV is getting worse and worse in what it is offering.
