I got Three and One!

I received in today's mail 3 KT Christmas cards and one letter! Thank you all so very much for them, all my cards have been so pretty! My cards today were from, Kat_Wa, Kathsgrdn, and Jackie_OK. Jackie sent me a nice letter about her family life. I look forward to the mail each day. Did anyone else get cards today?

I love getting cards!
they are all so pretty and thoughtful. Some are handmade and others handpicked! just beautiful!

I got 6 from KT today. 4 of them where from other groups.
A special treat was in the one from Mariend! I won't tell in case some of you haven't gotton yours yet.
They are so much fun to get. DH brings in the mail and almost everyday he says "more fan mail" LOL
So I made 4 more cards today and they will go out tomorrow

Thanks everyone for all of your expert advice! I may consider minnows or the Rosy reds in one of my smaller ponds that can't have much damage done to them. I had the feeder goldfish that grew to an impressive size. Very nice sushi for the raccoons. The raccoons really went nuts when they saw them. I was really somewhat taken back by all of the destruction they did getting to the fish. Mosquito dunks are also a possibility. Thanks again! SG

Planting baby hibiscus in-ground?

Mary-the hibiscus you got from Lowes is tropical. You won't see the hardy hibiscus around here unless you mail order or start from seed. It's a whole different variety. They are exotic but no harder to keep alive than the ones from Lowes. In fact, I think the El Capitolo and maybe the hibiscus Schizopetalus might be easier than the ones from Lowes. They are simply hybrids, crosses of fancy different colors and bigger flowered varieties but shouldn't be any harder to grow than the average reds, yellows and pinks with smaller flowers.

Tra, La, La...Singing a love song 'cuz I'm sooo in love with your photos of her, Kath. Perfection, really. Especially your first photo of this lavender beauty. I adore lavender. Lol. I think I would be in big-time trouble if I spent ANY time at all at Regans. I can just imagine strolling through their wonderful roses and loading up. "Danger...Danger... Danger." Alarm bells would be going off in my head because I know I would want oodles of them. I just planted the MOONSTONE they sent me yesterday, and I can hardly wait to see it blooming. I have wanted this rose for a looong time. Thanks for sharing these great photos and for letting us know about your Wednesday visit to Regans. I haven't wanted to walk through the drifts of snow..they are over knee deep in some places to get out there to the mailbox. I'm might fall in and they wouldn't find me till spring..lol

I've had mine ready to go for over a week yet but forgot to take them with me both times I got out.
