When I have "grease" to dispose of I wait for it to cool and then put it in the container to toss in the garbage.

I'm just about out of them and need to get more.

Glad and Rubbermaid both make inexpensive storage containers. They're like $2.87 for a pack of 3 or 4, and you can get them in different sizes. In grocery stores, they are by the ziploc bags, at Walmart, they are in the same aisle as regular storage containers.

I use the Glad containers and love them. You can get them in lots of different sizes. If they aren't returned it's no problem. There are also other companies making them also. I don't even use my tupperware anymore as I like these so much better. You can freeze in them and also put them in the microwave too. They say that they are dishwasher safe also but I just wash mine by hand.

If you have a dollar store they usually have some. They have cheap platters and plates too.
Walmart sells the Disposable Gladware.
I'm not sure what your giving, but Walmart also has these foam plates or the bigger more like trays that are a Christmas print for $2.50 for like 20 I think? Then just cover with foil and a bow.

Last week was corned beef and cabbage.
This week it's gonna be baked ham and au gratin potatoes, split pea soup, ham and beans and cornbread.
I always save those clear plastic tubs the celery and carrots come in, sour cream tubs and things like that, but I'm about out of those now.
I'll have SIL keep any eye out at the dollar store when she goes. (Can you believe I've never been in a dollar store? Or a Walmart?)

Or fin a buddy and go to a restaurant supply type place. Buy a package of styrofoam containers and split them with your buddy (or a few of them). That's what I finally did.

Good suggestions above, but you can do much better.

Head to your local restaurant/bar supply house. I buy deli containers there. Generally they run about $5-6 for 50 of them (and a couple of $$$ for the lids, which are sold separately). The containers come in 1 cup, 2 cup and quart sizes. The lids fit all. They stack nicely for storage. And at about .10 each, who cares if you don't get them back, or if you find something green growing in one in the fridge and decide to toss it.

Now, one thing you need to keep in mind--there are different grades of deli container. Some are better than others. If you can find the Reynolds ones, they're even good for freezing. Just today, I made a huge pot of cheese sauce to use up some milk and cheese that were hanging out a little too long in the fridge. Put it in those containers, in the freezer.

I use the zip lock containers for giving food away, but for my own use, I re use cottage cheese containers. Usually only two washes before I toss them.

They are GREAT for putting liquids in before putting out the trash.

Sams Club has dispoable containers by the case. Also disposable plastic plates and larger platters.

Don't you all recycle them when they've seen better days? Not good for them to go into the garbage as they'll be around forever.

My area does recycling of plastics but I think the term 'toss in the garbage' also applies to when one tosses something into the recycle bin.

For my own use storing leftovers and 'make-aheads' I use clear glass bowls. That way you can always SEE what is in them and they don't get lost and forgotten in the fridge or freezer. No worry about them melting in the micro. Easy clean up, especially with greasy items. Nothing ever goes into a landfill as they last forever. You can serve right from them, straight from the refigerater to table as they don't look like crap sitting next to china on a set dinner table and there is not an extra thing to wash like if you were to transfer the contents to a pretty serving bowl.
