Im a grandma again

I am a grandma again! My middle daughter just had her first after spending two days in the hospital. They ended up having to do a c section but she seems to be doing well. This is grandbaby #3 for me and all three are girls! This is after having three girls myself. No boys in this family. Im excited and relieved that Claire finally mader her appearance. She is a large baby at 9 lbs 8 oz and 22 inches long. We didn't know the sex of the baby ahead of time so now I get to go shopping after work and buy every pretty pink outfit I can find! Whoopee. We are overdue for some good news in our family and we finally got it. Satine

Congratulations to you and your DD's family!! I'm glad everyone is doing okay. Enjoy your shopping trip. Have you gotten to hold her yet? Nothing like holding a newborn.

The new arrival is due November 5th-9th depending on whom you ask. DGS said it will be for his birthday (Oct 3rd) but he may be dissapointed. The ultrasound says it is a he, but DD and SIL are holding out hope for a girl. At any rate I think this will be the last till DD#2 gets into the game (she said she doesn't want any, famous last words). beverly

Congratulations Great Grandma! I became a great grandma at 60 too. My Great grandson is now 7 years old and the best thing that ever happened to me. I was 20 when 1st daughter born, my daughter was 20 when my granddaughter was born and Granddaughter was 20 when great grandson was born. Now if I make it to 80, maybe I'll have a great great Grand? :o)

Sjerin and all well wishers, thanks for your thoughts. My daughter and her family live about 1.25 hours from me, another daughter is about twenty five minutes (two grandkids at that house) and one daughter about an hour away. I'll be heading to Virginia Tuesday for several days to help out. Can't wait to snuggle that little one.

Wow, that's a big baby; can understand the C-section. (I'm afraid my DIL won't want a second baby after delivering our DGS, whose head was in the 99th percentile.)
