Going shopping today...wish me luck...!!!

I don't know what's going on with my feet...but they are killing me...I've been trying to get a little done each day but am having a terrible time getting around.

I may try one of those mobile carts...I've never driven one before.

So if you are in the area of Omaha or Council Bluffs, Ia...watch out for an old crazy woman driver and her daughter in a leg cast driving another....Two of us together could wreak havoc....8)

Brad, you really LUCKED out..Your Hoyas are very very nice..'green w/envy, lol.' They're full, compact and deep green. Very nice. I went to a Lowe's once, 'none around here.' I was so excited after reading threads on GW. Ppl found gorgeous plants, at great prices. So, I get there..Lowe's speciality was Mums! lol. They had a few, very common house plants, all I have, or didn't want. Ivy, Philo, 'common types.' Plus, their plants looked terrible. An employee was watering, already soaked plants. Foil wrapped around pots, to boot. Two customers asked names of a couple plants..She didn't know. I joined their conversation, giving them both common and botanical names..'usually I use/know common names though, lol.' I walked out EMPTY-HANDED. Lowe's is at least 17 miles away, the closest to my home. Never again. But you found a couple beautys. MERRY CHRISTMAS. :) Toni PS. msrose, the problems with my Bassett sofa were with the cushions and the fabric. My sofa had a semi-attached back, which was always lumpy and the seat cushions would flatten out and become lumpy in a very short period of time. I think Bassett replaced the seat cushions 3 or 4 times before they finally said no more. They did come out one time and add more fiber fill to the back cushions. They pretty much told me I would have to continue to do that on my own for the life of the sofa. As for the fabric, it did not wear well at all. On one arm, they had not extended the padding out to the end of the arm and the wood of the frame cut through the fabric. Also, the seams they used to join two pieces of fabric were so tiny that they ended up pulling apart. Bassett wouldn't cover any of the fabric problems and I ended up paying a furniture repair company over $100 to deal with the seam issue. My neighbor had similar issues with the cushions. I had heard bad things about La-z-boy (after I bought mine, of course), but so far mine are holding up pretty well. I do have to give the loose back cushions a "restorative massage" once a week or so to get them back in shape, but once I do that they aren't too bad. Totally Confused

Good luck with your tile shopping. I know in a previous message you said you used Blonde from sherwin williams in some rooms but not in the kitchen. I think you said you used humble gold,can you tell me who that is made by. I have tried the restrained gold and blonde, too dark in my kitchen, ivorie is too light. Why didn't blonde work in your kitchen and how is humble gold compared to it, like too gold too yellow? Appreciate any info as I am running out of colors to try.

Thanks all! I thought this thread was done, glad to see we are still together! I'm pretty much convinced the sofa is here to stay. It has held up so well to kitty attacks, and I love the pattern. I think I am more tending to going in the neutral rug realm, thinking towards the lighter end, just to liven things up. I had looked into slipcovers or reupholstering the small swivel chair that shows up in some of the pictures (the fabric on it is shot and I would love to cover it up). I have to say I was appalled at the prices I was quoted--even a slipcover was the same price as the chair originally cost, and reupholstering went over the top. So, my goal now is to find the perfect neutral, low-maintenance rug that will get me away from all the brown. Thank you again, this forum is the best!

My mom and dad both get on those, and it is hilarious. My father can't see worth a darn, and my mother just plain old doesn't pay attention. They take out displays, and keep running us over ROFL. Now we walk WAY far away from them and pretend we don't know who they are ;).

Actually, they are a great help for people who have trouble getting around (it is amazing how exhausting it is to walk and shop with a bad back, I wish they had been as common when I was in so much pain back then).

They are easier to drive than they look. Have fun!

What's wrong with your feet? Could it be planters fasciitis? I suffered with that a few years, I am always having foot troubles, I know the feeling.

I also have planter but one shot took care of it and of course my Merrill's. Felt like a stone bruise on my heel.

I made it on foot...of course I know I'll be sorry...gona kick up my feet in the recliner and take a snooze....I've earned it.

The pain is not so much on the bottom of my feet and it's not on my heel...it seems to run from my arch up and over my ankles....on both feet.

when your feet are bad you are bad all over...not saying that being bad is always so bad...wink wink....;)

It's kind of fun being a little bad....
