For U.S. households finding dishwasher-washed glasses cloudy

I have a dishwasher, but I use it just for storing Tupperware.

But there was an interesting consumer-affairs piece on the news tonight about why U.S. households might be seeing a noticeable difference in how clear their drinking glasses and dishes come out lately. It's due to the 'phosphate-free' changes manufacturers are making because some states are banning detergents with high levels of the stuff. The phosphates eventually make their way to rivers, for example, and pollute and kill fish and destroy native grasses and habitats, I understand.
