The Loaded Steakhouse burger - Mashed potatoes with bacon bits, bacon, American cheese, A1 brand steak sauce and fried onion crisps.

I ate it with a knife and fork, minus the bread, and scraped the mashed potatoes off.

Won't order that again.

That's what I get for getting too hungry and settle on eating anything.

Around here folks are ordering a Huge Baked Potato stuffed with Chopped BBQ Beef. It looks disgusting, I don't have to try it I know I wouldn't like it.

This was Burger King's loaded steak burger. Never again!

Oh yes, this is a great thread, LOL. Let's see, I made some completely tasteless corn and black bean salsa, the beans just seemed to absorb everything and it tasted like eating paste or cardboard. Anyway, it was a bad idea. My pickles are always soft, except Linda Lou's sweet pickle chunks. And, as Readinglady pointed out, everyone doesn't like the same things. I don't care for dill or sour pickles at all, but Dad loves 'em, so I make them. One batch, every year. The remainder of my cukes become sweet relish and those sweet pickle chunks that I love. My worst canning experiment wa the mincemeat. Yes, the real stuff with beef and "2 pounds of suet". It was mincemeat like Dad remembered all right and every bite would coat your mouth with that lovely layer of tallow. Ewwww. It was awful and I could feel my arteries slamming shut. I've never made a spaghetti sauce that my girls liked as well as they like Prego, but that's them, LOL. I think the roasted red pepper spread needs some hot peppers, it's too bland without them. I made some really good kumquat chutney but can't figure out how the heck to use it all up, it just doesn't "go" with a lot of things. Then there was the dandelion wine..... Annie

I presume you all who decided on HVX on that leaf also looked at the leaves of 'Captain Kirk' in the Hosta Library. Being not an expert, and hesitant to shoot from the hip, some of the library leaves seem to have such 'dark green bleed on the veins' too, possibly this is a characteristic of this cultivar at that development time. For years I didn't care for potato chips or French fries though I liked potatoes prepared other ways, but the past few years there are times I crave them now. It's a combination of the oil/grease & salt. Rather than a certain food, I find that I now like specific dishes a lot more than I used to: stews, pot roast, sauerkraut, sausage, biscuits & gravy (notice the interest in heavy fat foods?) A kind of sad thing, I LOVED chocolate to the point of once buying & eating a whole BOX of Hershey's bars, & going to chocolate conventions for a few years. Now I've lost my taste for chocolate; I don't hate it, but I don't care if I have it or not, & when I do have a piece, it doesn't taste all that great. Calories I don't have to worry about, I suppose. It's also given me empathy for older people who have lost their taste for food.

I tried the Hellman's Olive Oil mayonnaise "dressing". It was so bad I actually called the 800 number on the package and told them. It doesn't taste of olive oil at all, but it is SWEET. If I wanted SWEET, I'd have bought the freaking Miracle Whip (which will never cross my threshold)! I understand that it is "dressing" and not mayonnaise. I didn't expect it to taste like mayo. But if I buy "Olive Oil Mayonnaise Dressing", I expect some sort of olive oil flavor, not a sugar flavor.

They put potatoes on the hamburger and then bread? Or were the potatoes inside the burger? Either way, you lost me at A-1 sauce and potatoes in the same sentence! Ick!

On Friday I had a burger at BK with A-1 that was very good. It had mushrooms and fried onions. I don't think it was the same one?

Unfortunately there is very little in the line of food that I don't like...it sounded good to me..but I don't go to fast food joints

lisa, they have two steak burgers. The loaded which I got and wish I hadn't, and the other has swiss cheese, mushrooms, etc.

Can't do BK at all...way too much sodium....I can drink gallons of liquids for hours after...can't be good for you!
Glenda that does sound like they should have stopped a couple of ingredients before the mashed potatoes....YUCK!

It's been years since I have had fast food, and can't remember when I had anything from BK.

Now I know why I have been thirsty all afternoon.

At least I didn't eat the bread, tee hee!

I like BK.....but don't think I'd like that particular sandwich.Mashed Potatoes on a burger just seems wrong....There's a little place in PA that serves Hamburgers with Sunny Side Up eggs on them.Lots of people LOVE them,I could never bring myself to eat that drippy mess! LOL!

Main Man was just discussing his trip to France and mentioned he ordered a Hamburger there. LOL! It had Bread, Meat, Lettace, Onion, Tomato and of all things a Fried Egg. He says it was really good. LOL!
