I can't find my original recipe, duh, but this is Paula Deen's and it makes me think this is the one. I'm almost positive this is the one. 1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (14 3/4-ounce) can cream-style corn 1 (8-ounce) package corn muffin mix (recommended: Jiffy) 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, stir together the 2 cans of corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter. Pour into a greased 9 by 13-inch casserole dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with Cheddar. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let stand for at least 5 minutes and then serve warm.

Some days it's better, other worse. I work work work it to keep it mobile. Had a headache with the injection and it helped "somewhat". I still use heat and ice at night. Plus have a prescritipn for a pain patch that I've used occasionally when absolutely necessary. Go for another injection,Hyaluronic Acid injection the 13th of May and surgeon appointment in June. Now the bad thing is my right shoulder is going, and have an MRI scheduled for May 1 on it. Just want to see what's going on and how bad it is and hoping whatever it is we can do some prevention work on it so it won't get as bad as the left. Thanks for asking, glenda

You are more than welcome. Just how much MORE flakes did you add? Why don't you test bake one, to see? Is the batter real thick and heavy? It's been a l-o-n-g time since I made any. Oh, yes, I still have my bowl that I mixed and kept it in. A BIG one! I never topped with anything. Go for it! Never thought to, I guess. If you have allspice already, I think the cinnamon sugar might be too much spice. How about sugar? I DO know Sandi Iowa makes them, and her recipe is similar or identical to mine. Up to you, but I would test one. If it's dry then add more liquid. Have a safe drive. OH BTW, I DID buy all those home ec cookbooks. I remember so well making corn on the cob and rubbing it with peanut butter for butter. DON'T DO THAT! :O) Mine have BEEN gone, but still have my college home ec cookbook.

justlinda, maybe your's is a higher wattage,, I don't know what mine is. Mine was crunchy, just the way I like it and when I took it out of the micro it was steaming at the top. Meant to say that you shake the corn by the SILK end and it comes out like this. This is actually my photo of corn I cooked the other Sunday as it was sliding out.
