YES we have one and NO, I don't like it. We bought it new and while still under warranty we noticed that it was starting to sag in the middle. We have the queen size and the dual control which means two mattresses. Their solution? Sell us a piece of foam rubber to put in between the two mattresses. Ya, like that worked. We ended up putting the sleep number bed in the spare room and we bought a temperpedic bed and love it.

yes, we have one. We;ve had it for, well, gee I can't remember. Over 7 years! Ours is a king and I LOVE it, so does dh. No problems at all.

Getting my moms to put in our spare bedroom because she couldn't stand it. She's very bony on the bottom half and just couldn't get comfortable in this bed. She had the queen as well. We purchased latex about 10 years and still love it.

Had one....got rid of it. Horrible.

We love ours. It was bought before there were NUMBERS on the pump. (Bought in year 2000) Just could increase or decrease the firmness. It was just called a Select Comfort back then. We have a king with two controls. I once slept on a Temperpedic and could not stand it. You settle into it like you would a mound of sand at the beach and then if you want to turn over....you have to sorta crawl out. At least for me...I think if you are built like a stick it might work, but I'm bottom heavy!

yes, redcurls. We bought it when it was Select Comfort also. it is so comfy. I was choosing between that one and the foam one, and there is just no way that anyone can convince me that the foam isn't HOT as heck! and I didn't think about sinking in to a hole. lol doesn't sound like support. lol

Have a queen, had it for a year or two. The jury is still out. Not sure if it is the mattress or just old age. Still wake up occasionally with backache. It is certainly better than the mattress we replaced. I notice after a couple of days it needs more air and I don't fell well supported if I sit on the side.
I really thought it would be good for dh and me, but he's restless and our bed creaks (not the mattress) and jostles when he moves...

We've had a king for several years. Not a sag (not sure thats even possible) or any change since day one. Dh sleeps on his side and I sleep on my side. what I like the best is that when either one moves the other doesn't notice. I can have a firm side and he can have his soft side. There is a piece of foam of some type in between the mattresses. My pillow is what really makes a difference in whether I have a good nights sleep these days. If my dh steals my pillow, I'll steal it back.
If the bed starts to ever feel uncomfortable, I'll air it up to 100%, lay on it and then deflate it until it feels just right.

I have one. I bought it in 1995. It is a full size Select Comfort pillow top, with the matching foundation, and has the number control. It is still as good as new.

I think what we have to remember is that no bed is going to cure what ever is causing your back problems. It will give you a much better night's rest, but you will still have the same back problem in the morning.

We bought one after DH back surgery 2 yrs ago and we are very happy with it. It does not feel like a conventional air mattress at all. We are lucky enough to have a Select Comfort store here so we were able to really look it over to see how it worked, how it is constructed and lay on it before committing. The trick is to fill the mattress up to 100 (as firm as possible)- then as you lay in your preferred position, let the air out until it is comfortable.

I sleep on my side and find that I donâÂÂt have issues with my arm getting all tingly and numb. I recommended it to my folks for their RV (because it is so light weight). Mom says that she always thought her hips were just going to ache forever because of age, they donâÂÂt ache any more. Dad & I both agree that even though we have no back/hip issues it is more comfortable than other mattresses and we feel better rested in the morning. I find that in any position, even on my stomach with a pillow for reading, my back does not hurt.

There is a 30 day return policy, but you have to pay for shipping (comes unassembled in 2 big boxes.) Forget about the accessories they offer (mattress pad, pillows, sheets) you can do better at Kohls.

Also, the mattress is supposed to be supported on a hard platform. They will sell you a big plastic box to substitute for your box spring (seemed silly to me). We kept our box spring because it only has 1" of padding so it was pretty hard. I expect that if the underlayment of the mattress is not good, than it will not perform as well.

The prices are in line with other mattresses depending on what sort of bells and whistles you want. We got the first step up that has 1â mattress pad and the numbered remote- My folks got the base model for the RV & house. We are all happy and well rested.

We did look into a Temperpedic (latex mattress) and was told by the back doctor that it is NOT good for people with back issues.

The only crazy bed we ever had was years ago (like 30?) when we had a water bed. It was quite comfy. But it kept getting leaks. We patched them as best we could, then one day a seam split and it was all over. We have a regular mattress now (queen).

We've had a queen size for many years - no problems. I'm not sure it's the most comfortable bed around and maybe it's overrated. Several friends raved about theirs so when we needed a new mattress we got one. Maybe that led to inflated expectations on my part (no pun intended). It is nice though that DH can have his side hard as a rock and I can have my side much softer. I think it also holds up much longer than a conventional mattress so maybe that makes it worth the price.

We don't have one but have slept on them several times at Radisson hotels and liked them. I know that Nita AZ has one in her new RV, hope she sees this and comments. She has a bad back so it will be interesting to see what she says.

We slept on one in a hotel room this summer. I couldn't see what all the fuss was about, hubby didn't get it either.

When I saw your subject line, I thought, "I usually sleep about once a night".

Unless, of course, you count the nap in the chair in the evening ...

... or, sometimes, a nap in the afternoon.

Neither of which take place on a bed ... but I hadn't related the question to a bed.
