Cute! My daughter and her husband name their cars, but so far I haven't. However, this morning I thanked my traded-in Toyota 4Runner for keeping me safe for 10 years. :-)

Another Hyundai Elantra. Of course, God protected me, but I think my car (which got high safety ratings for it's range) had a part in it, too. So I wanted another.

I've never named a vehicle in my life, but when Robert drove this one home for us to drive a couple of days, I immediately dubbed it The Great White Whale. It's a Ford Flex.

I call my Honda Accord Miss Fadass. To me it looks like it has a very big butt. I remember someone saying they had a teacher named Miss Fadass and that name popped into my mind.

Years ago we had a 1952 Buick. It was already old when we got it. It's nickname was Chug. My husband's grandmother was hard of hearing and thought we were saying Chuck, so forever after it was known as Chuck.

My husband names his cars..I think one is Betty or Betsy (blue jetta) oh and the other is Vicky (black jetta). Vicky just got new shoes...lol tires..He came home after her appointment and told me she likes them very much... roflmao

Yet he's ready for his next lady...how fickle is he? She will be a TDI Passat. I'll be handed down Vicky. Can I change her name? Is that allowed?

Yes I do name my cars. My first one was a Chevy Metro and her name was Baby. My next and present car is a Chrysler Sebring is named Sebrina.

I named my car Marshmallow because it is a small white car (a Vibe). I don't normally name my car but this one fit because it looked so different than what I normally drive so it got the name Marshmallow. My very first car had a name (LuLu) but that was a long time ago.

I don't usually name cars, but I think I will call my new Honda CRV Candy. The official name of it's color is is Basque Red Metallic. To me it looks candy apple red or a little darker, so,Candy.

When I was a young lad, I had a Model A Ford. I called her "Betsy" and when the radiator leaked, she bcame "Betsy Wetsy".

I'm the one who asked this question earlier this year. I bought a new car in January and was trying to think of a name for "her" and I got to wondering how many people name their cars. Seems a lot of us do, and some folks posted really clever names.

Although, my first car--a rugged and beloved, OLD Studebaker Lark VII--ended up with the name Puddle Jumper. Not my doing. My father was driving behind me, during a bad storm, and I went through a very deep puddle (one I'd have had the sense enough to avoid these days) without a hitch. Because of that, and the fact that my license plate started with PJ, she was puddle jumper from then on.

I do sometimes call my current car Cookie Monster--only because it's one of those Cookie Monster colored FJ Cruiseers.

Only one had a name. My grocery- and commuter-train-meeting-car when DS was a baby was "Pumpkin" -- an orange Datsun hatchback.

As I told about in that earlier thread, we have Donna Pacer, named for the woman in Chicago that we bought her from. "Little Donna" stays in the heated garage with "Big Red" our pick up truck. Big Red towed Little Donna to her new home here in PA, and has been looking after her all these 15 years.

Some years ago we had Ghost the Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. 'Ghost', not only because he was all white, but also because he was so quiet. He often snuck in or out of the driveway without being heard.
