My Cousin is at Peace

My dear, sweet cousin Susan has been battling ovarian cancer for over 10 years. She thought things were clear then 2 years ago a scan showed some activity. She fought a good fight, but she lost her battle yesterday. She's with her mom and dad, and my mom as well, having a beer and laughing that laugh of hers with eyes sparkling. Love you Susan, rest in peace.

I may be wrong, but I believe I've read that freezing to death is just like going to sleep and that it is peaceful. And I like to believe that once a person has died, he or she has the experience erased from her/his mind. My condolences for your loss.

Sounds like you had a very special relationship. That is to be treasured. There was such a difference in age between me and my cousins, I never really knew them. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you all. She was a special lady! Susan was an RN and dedicated her life to caring for others. Her mom and mine were best friends and because her siblings were all older and I had none, we had a very close childhood. Since she moved away we were not in touch as often as we should have been but she was always in my heart.
