Aww. Poor Gracie. Its tough when they start to have problems going up stairs. I'm glad you've found some solutions to help her out. She's adorable.

I found a fairly inexpensive solution for cat beds. My cats love cardboard boxes and when I saw the boxes they use for frozen chicken at Sam's Club, I had an idea. I grabbed a few of the empty boxes.

I also noticed that my cats like to sleep on the drying mats I got for dishes, so I stuffed them in the boxes.

On the topic of "privacy".....we have a small section in the bottom of a bedroom armoire with our dog's bed in it. She does love some private time and I notice she goes in there during hectic times in the house. She brings her toys in there too. If the door is closed on her side - there are sliding closet-type doors - she will go in through the other side of the armoire and squish herself through and across to get to her "area".
