Congratulations. I never smoked one cigarette in my life...well ,three drags on one at a slumber party, but most of my HS friends did smoke and many are paying the price now.

I never smoked much, and not for long, but I was totally amazed to discover when I quit that I Was An Addict! That alone was incentive to stop.

I think of all the respiratory troubles I had as a kid. Everybody smoked. Anytime you were indoors you were in a fog of smoke, including *home*. Now, watching "Mad Men" makes me gag!

I'm soooo proud of you...as I sit here with a nicotine lozenge in my mouth...I may NEVER give these up...but they are getting fewer and fewer between urges!! I hardly talk on the phone anymore cause that REALLY makes me want a ciggie!! You go girl!! I know you've got to feel so much better and just think of all the money you've saved!!

I know , Chisue...Back in my childhood everyone smoked and we were always around it. In cars, malls, stores, homes. Even when I had my first baby, people in the room visiting the other woman were smoking up a storm with our babies in the room. What the he l l were people thinking back then?

Well done! I've been stopped 4 1/2 years now and I was a very heavy smoker. I like to think that ive given myself a fighting chance of avoiding illness! The worse thing about stopping was actually thinking about it....Lol I used to panic at the thought of stopping but I did it!!

Many congratulations! It took my dh 4 or 5 times for it to stick, and he was one cranky boy for a lonnnngggg time. Enjoy your newfound health!

Good Job!!! Congratulations to you and all the rest who were able to kick the habit. You should be putting that money you would be spending on cigarettes in a jar and at the end of a year, buy yourself something really special. Cigarettes are unbelievably expensive.

Deamn, good for you!! November 1 it will be 4 years for hubby and I, we too used Chantix. Absolutely the best investment we ever made.

Congratulations! That is a super-hard thing to do, but you set your mind to it and did it. Have you figured out how much money you saved by quitting? My neighbor quit and figured out that he saved over $3000 a year.

Now that you've quit..do you notice how much smokers smell like ciggarettes. I can't stand the smell.

Denny still has 4 or 5 in the morning with his coffee and breakfast. But he no longer smokes at home...The house smells so much better...Now if we could just get rid of dog smell.
