Peppi, this is such a tough time for you & your Dad. That first years goes by in a fog, one day tears, the next trying to be strong, then back to tears. Believe me, I understand & offer my empathy. My Mom's been gone for 39 years come September, an enternity. Dad left in '94 & my oldest sister in '04. We've lost both of DH's parents in the past 5 years. People here were so kind through that tough couple weeks, the trip to CO, hospice...yep, it's tough. Hugs to you, Peppi! /tricia

SG, your pain and sense of loss is understandable. Those of us who have loved and lost a furbaby have also lost a piece of our heart. The pain is not just emotional; it is physical and it goes on long after our friend has left us. I do believe Tara is in her new home, playing with our furbabies who were there to greet her. She's healthy and happy and without pain or discomfort. Take comfort that you loved her and she loved you in return. You gave her the kind of love and home that many other animals never get to experience. We all love these furry creatures knowing they'll probably die before we do. We love them knowing their passing will break our hearts. And yet we love them because the pleasure of experiencing the love they give us far outweighs the pain. I wrote this when PeeWee died. I too think the retro green floor is awesome for a laundry room!! Cool, fun, kitschy! HAPPY Birthday Electrolux. They look as good as the day they were delivered. George, I did the same with my Electrolux units and all Miele units. After the last wash load of the day.....rubber door boot wiped dry everywhere. Glass door wiped dry. Detergent tray removed and rinsed with HOT water, especially the fabric softener area. Stick my hand with a towel into the the detergent tray cavity and wipe dry and then I ALWAYS (to this day) leave the entire detergent tray out until next use and washer door OPEN! Machine dries out, smells amazing and looks brand new...Like yours do!! I too NEVER had a single issue with push to open doors or detergent tray. Never. No sticking, no refusal to open, no issue. If it were not for the crazy small amount of water used for rinsing, I would very likely still have my Electrolux units. The washer was excellent, and I posted about it many times....The Wave Touch (70) dryer might be the best dryer I have ever used. Laundry Reviewed . com rated the 70 dryer the best tested!!
