Hi Sue, I am not as ambitious as you are, but my weather is similar. I went out to coffee this morning with a few retirees from my school. I am working on some homemade bread. My brother and sister in law are coming for a visit and will stay several days. Late this afternoon I have to take my mother to an appointment. When we return, 5 of us will go out to eat.

I'm making plans for the first of several birthday celebrations for my son (none of which will be on his actual birthday. He'll be gone then. So hopefully, they'll equal what it would've been on his birthday). Working (I'm proof-reading today and finalizing some trips). Wishing I was outside in the beautiful weather. Maybe we'll eat al fresco this evening.

Good morning to you, Sue and all the KT'ers. We've already been out this morning for Harry's blood work appointment. It's overcast and spitting rain, but cooler than it has been. Later, we're going to do our grocery shopping. We also need to take some stuff the the recycle bin.

Foru my vegetable soup I start by cooking a chuck roast on the stove top and while it's cooking I chop potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery. I add V-8 and chili powder in with the meat broth and dump all the vegetables in the pot with the diced up meat. When it's about done, I add cabbage. S&P to taste.

It's a beautiful day here in Paradise - NW Florida! I've been out messing with plants and spraying and pulling weeds - wonderful day to be alive!

I only use chicken broth in my vegetable soup, no meat. I like both winter and summer squash, celery, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and sometimes green beans.

I ran errands today, then went to visit my sister Annie in the Home. All she wanted to do was sleep. I visited some with others there, then came home. I went through the circulars that were in the mail.....nothing on sale for me.

I made vegetable soup earlier this week.
I used garlic, clerey, onion, carrot, turnip, okra, mexican squash, green beans, bell pepper, tomato, Rotel tomatoes, cabbage, cilantro and chicken stock.

Today I am going for a long walk. After that I volunteer at the hospital. Tomorrow will be a soup day for me. I make my veggie soup with vegetarian broth, lots of veggies and barley.

I started the day at 10:30a, painting my new Permacast porch columns with primer. As that was drying, I started my chili, browned the hamburger and onions, added the beans and tomato juice, then let it simmer while I put another primer coat on the columns. It may have not been necessary but I did it. While that was drying, I came in and checked on the chili, added the chili powder, lowered the heat some more, then had a cup of coffee in the garden.

Put on first of the finish coats of paint, had a bowl of chili, then read a magazine for awhile until I decided it was ok to put the second of the finish coats on the columns. And I'm done! Everything cleaned up, including me. I don't like to paint, so it is what it is. A neighbor stopped and said "Looking good!" So I accept that. lol

Note: don't buy $1 bottles of chili powder at Big Lots. Ugh. I had to chisel the stuff out of the bottle and it had no zing at all in the chili. So I found my other bottle of chili powder (which I couldn't find before) and it did the trick.
