Good Morning

Good Morning everyone!!

In the months I've been coming to this forum, I've never come here and found nothing new. Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm like so many of you. When I get my DH off to work, I get my cup of coffee and come to see what is new. I was late this morning, putting a package together for a DGD but still no one here.

Went to all 3 areas still no one. Hopefully by the time this is posted there will be someone.

Hi, Nana: Still only 6:51 here, and cool. The marine layer of clouds often stays with us part of the morning, and the heat has been quite bearable. I check in every morning before my coffee, while DH is making fresh juice. When he brings me some juice, that is the signal to go make breakfast.

I check in to this forum so many times a day that I don't even count them. Gonna get in some serious work on that Peek-s-Boo today! Have a good day, everybody!

Hi, Sally - I had a dentist appt. so I didn't get "in" till late! Jan, I'd love some of that cool! When I left home at 8:15 am it was 92. We also have about 100 percent humidity, which is like having a hot, heavy, wet blanket wrapped around you. And it's only the middle of July!

I only have experience with Heavenly Blue MG's and they did not do well in a pot. They did indeed insist on climbing and then I think they just ran out of root space because they suddenly stopped growing and flowering.

It's been a good day here; a beautiful spring day. I can't believe how much things are popping the last couple of days! Redbuds, dogwoods, even azaleas in full bloom in some places! My front azaleas are blooming and those in the back buds are open enough you can see the color. The back area doesn't get as many hours full sun as the front. We planted one new hot pink azalea (added to a mixed bed); 3 white azaleas (had 3 pretty much die over the winter), 4 pots of lavender creeping phlox and two pots of candy tuft today. Oh and a new rose bush! Actually my husband did most of that after weed-eating! I placed the plants and watered. I grocery shopped this morning and nothing I needed was out-of-stock. Toilet paper and paper towels are still absent. I had to go to 3 pharmacies to find my dad's eye-drops (he has MD) and deliver those to his Assisted Living (someone met me in parking lot, they are on lock-down). Drove home the long way, beautiful backroads and just enjoyed SPRING! I'm going to make banana bread and I did make a small pan of brownies last weekend, but we are getting lots of exercise, so hoping that will all even out.

I mowed - again - today, I had just mowed last Thursday but the grass was so high already. Normally I don't like a "sheared" lawn, but I set the deck too low on my mower and didn't realize it. Since it would look weird to do the rest on a higher setting I continued. Golf course like lawns make me uncomfortable! lol Besides all the little wild flowers got their heads chopped off. Maybe I won't have to mow for awhile now though it being so short. There are so many violets and other wild flowers in the orchard that I have a hard time mowing them, so I leave small patches here and there. The ground itself is still very damp. Sometimes when I sit on a chair at my small table down there, a chair leg or two will sink right into the soil sending me backwards. I've learned to be quick to jump off! I think I will plant ever bearing strawberries in my mailbox cover this year just for something different. They will have a white bloom and hopefully have berries most of the summer. At least that's what I envision, will see if it works out.

Been walking on the old treadmill so I try to get that done first .

Good Morning Sally -
I too check in first thing every morning, usually with a Diet Coke. After a while DH and I have breakfast and then I check in again. I also can not count how often I come back throughout the day. I share with DH everything that is going on here and he knows several forum members by name.

We went to bed last night with the windows open and now we are freezing in our house. Both of us are wrapped in blankets. IÂm planning on pressing blocks this morning so I can warm up.

well, good afternoon! lol.
I work during the day, so don't usually log on until around 7pm Eastern time. today, I stayed home to babysit my two grandsons. (hubby was supposed to, but MIL is in hospital, so he's there)
The kids came at noon, so from 7am until they arrived, I made a walker caddy for a friend who just had hip replaced.
Not what I should be working on...but it felt good being productive.

Good Day all!!

I'm usually here frequently during the day. Stopped by this morning, but then decided to take the kids out. We played at the park before it got hot, then did lunch & played, then went to a movie. Stopped at Walmart for diapers on the way home, and here I am.

Have a good evening, I'm heading outside for a bit.
