Is an Avatar the same as a gif?

An Avatar is an animated image of yourself...this one is prettier than I am :o) but, I didn't want to pay for features...there wasn't a choice of putting glasses on "me" though.

And...her boobs are higher, but the pants and shoes look right :o)

Hmm all avatar's I saw so far, where just tiny pics of yourself or someone...

I have one of me and my possum, Shirley, that I use at The Meeting House.

Every time I get one almost created, I have to quit before I get it finished and saved. Mine had that #1 Mom T shirt too.

My 10 y/o grandson made we one for the WII. He gave me LOTS of wrinkles -- we negotiated that. And then he said he had to give me a big smile b/c "you smile a lot." And I do b/c I make it a point to smile a lot. And the kid NOTICED!

drew...my kids did that also...it's fun to see how they perceive you....

dani...I think that is a very busy site. You just have to hit it at the right time when not so many are working at making an Avatar....I've tried for a long time and finally got it to go through

I suppose there are other sites where you can do this...and maybee have more choices as to hair, eyes, etc....but I didn't want to pay anything at least not with the choices on that site....

Mush used to have a really cute one. I remember that one because she put a link to it here a couple of years ago and I made one for Anna. The one she has is more of a personalized GIF.

DD helped DGD made one of me on the WII. I'm verrrrry cute! I have on a yellow shirt b/c they said I always wear yellow shirt. I hadn't noticed but I do have a bunch of yellow shirts. They made one of Grandpa too but DGD wouldn't give him grey hair b/c she said it made him look too old. She made him bald on top with brown hair instead.

Maybee, I found the little animations and saved them frame by frame and then put my face on each frame and re-animated using MS Picture-It.

I choose this because I live on the coast and always loved mermaids when growing up.

Leslie...the option to make an avatar is on the photobucket site...Mary Ann...I'm going to give that a try...my friend made the cutest one on Photobucket...wish I had seen it first :o) We both go to Weight Watchers and her avatar is standing on a scale shaking her head in disbelief. I like yours Aprilflower!
