Chinese twice this week, but at a different place each time.

Chow Time has been having great reviews and I had a 10 percent off coupon.

Best Chinese buffet around. Glad I went.

And I ended the meal with tapioca pudding. Yummy

I had beef and noodles with some leftover corn.

It's been so nice here in my part of Ohio this week. I was able to turn off the air for most of the time. Now the heat is starting to rise again......still nice though.

It's warmed up today. It started yesterday, and will last through the weekend anyway. 30C.

We got our annual bushel of roma tomatoes....the price was real good $9.99!!! So I'll be making pasta sauces, for sure a tomato pie. I chopped some up for bruschetta. I know we'll get into that tonite for a snack. :)

Just hotdogs, deli potato salad and coleslaw for dinns.

Glenda, when a Chinese buffet is good, it's really good. But when it's not so good, it's terrible. Glad you found a good one! We probably have 20 of them scattered around the area, but none close to us.

Shirley, we've had wonderful weather, too. This morning I left the front door open after I got the papers (we do have a screen :-). It was 68 degrees out. How refreshing after a summer of sultry 70's at 6:30. Just about getting beef and noodle time and it sure sounds delicious!

Wow, Jasdip, that's a great price for a bushel. Roma's are my favorite for sauce. You are gonna be one busy girl for a few days!! Have fun--just think how good your house is going to smell!

We had hot beef sandwiches. Do all chinese buffets have tapioce pudding on their buffet and if so why? Is it chinese, I never thought so. I love it though.

We went to the movies and then to dinner afterwards. DH wanted to go to Ruby Tuesdays but there was a waiting line. Not exactly the place to go on a summer night when you live in a resort area. So we tried a new local Italian restaurant that just opened up. I don't need to go back...need I say more?

Another busy day today with Cheryl and I going to a couple of rummage sales but found some inexpensive goodies. Then a stop to see Amber and Alyssa. When I came home I peeled potatoes to make to take potato soup to Amber and Mike's for supper and baked two pies, they were the frozen ones, a peach and a pumpkin. Then a trip to the vet with Izzi for her allergies. I finally got back home and made my cream of potato soup with rivels. I also made up some peanut butter sandwiches on oatmeal bread to take. Cheryl took chili soup and cheese and crackers. We had a nice supper then drove around to see the new giant wind turbines that are being installed a half mile north of where Cheryl lives. They are the biggest in the United States and there will be around 120 of them across our county and the next. So far there are 3 of them up. Quite a sight to see.

Hi, Bengardening. Chinese buffets where we've eaten usually have chocolate and/or vanilla pudding. Don't recall ever seeing tapioca, but it sure would be a good addition, wouldn't it? I was thinking about making some earlier this week using coconut milk instead of regular.

Georgysmom, that's a shame. You'd think a new restaurant would want to make sure the food was better than good just so they'd get return business. Hope the movie was good!

We went to Tucson to pick up the motor home. Went to eat lunch at Claim Jumpers and had wonderful Calamari appetizer. Then we both had clam chowder. I had a delicious spinach salad with cranberries, oranges and delicious pecans. Mike had a citrus salad and said it was excellent. That was our lunch/dinner.

Later we are going to have sliced fresh strawberries with whipped cream for dessert.

We went to Golden Corral today. Being Friday I figured they would have some good fried fish and thy did. We used two free tickets too.

We have wind farms in some areas around us. I find the windmills very tall and they fascinate me. I'd love the see the giant ones.

You must have lots of wind in IN that they would install giant ones there.

Sue, you had another busy day! I don't know how those girls keep up with you :-) I would love to see the wind turbines. Like Jas said, they are fascinating.

Nita, your salad sounds to die for! Harry decided to eat some cantaloupe last evening, but I still wasn't hungry.

Jasdip, it is not all that windy here, but in open farm fields I guess at times it is breezy. We had to stop this morning, Cheryl and I, as the State Police were escorting two very large trucks hauling two of the big sections for the base. We were not far from the wind farm and they had both sides of the highway blocked to thru traffic. They are going up pretty rapidly. The concrete bases for each of them go into the ground 40 feet! They do not have them turning yet.
