I've used the Walmart website to see if something is available at one of the stores, but it never occurred to me to actually shop Walmart online. Today I bought two cute and comfy pairs of shoes at my local Walmart: this one and this one (my first experiences with Mary Janes). They're perfect for me to wear to work in the summer, and I looked for my size in other colors. But no success.

So when I got home I looked them up online. Sure enough, they were available in my size--and the shipping charge to my house was only 97 cents per pair! Walmart will ship to your local Walmart store for free, but it was worth a couple of dollars to me to eliminate the round trip.

Probably every KTer but me knows about this option already, but I'm passing it along just in case.....

used w/m at christmas for one of the hard to get toys...and have used target online servce...

You can also order college textbooks from WalMart. Yep I know that might seem a little weird. But my daughter often found that Walmart prices were better than Barnes and Noble or Amazon even with the shipping charges.

Yes, I did post that somewhere else, but I should have posted here. Sorry. Walmart.com is now carrying at least 3 different kinds of Tramontina stainless steel triply clad pots/pans. 1. A. The nifty all-clad copy which Cook's Illustrated listed as a best buy. These are being phased out it seems and there are currently only a few styles left in this line. If the copy, text, says it is a best buy, then it is the line about which I wrote, with good intentions. 2. B. A newer triply clad line but not nearly as thick as A. It is more expensive than A and not nearly as weighty. There are walmart.com reviewers who have discovered and noted these differences. One woman actually weighed and compared items from A line to B line. 3. C. Tramontina triply clad Gourmet which is also not as thick or heavy as A, and in some items, only oven worthy up to 350 degrees, rather than 500. So I did order two 12 inch frying pans for dil and me and I ordered while the website still listed the A line. But they sent me C. I gave one to dil, since it was still kind of nice, but not what I dreamt of, and about 4 weeks later, I returned mine to my local walmart store. I felt cheated. Disappointed. But not earth-shattered. Real life intervened and put it all in perspective. My 22 yr. old daughter had a ski accident in Montana, where she is a student, and tore up her knee. We are flying there on Wed. for the Friday surgery (She is still going to concerts!). That's bad bad and also sucky is the awful travel to Montana from Chicago, in winter. Five hour layover in Denver and then on a puddle jumper. As in -you are seated in row 16 and you think,-- wow, I got a seat in the front of the plane, until you realize that 16 is the last row! And you walk down stairs (in the open air) to deplane(for this O'Hare girl that sucks). Insult to injury, I now need a wheelchair to traverse O'Hare. Paris would be faster, easier. This is the daughter to whom I am bequeathing my Pots and Pans. During which conversation, she said, "Pots?" Yeah, babe, pots. She just doesn't understand.

I'll have to check out Walmart. My cat Lucy scratches on one spot at the front door which I don't mind so much because she doesn't go after my furniture. Chloe, "the cat who came to visit and never went home" has already destroyed one piece of furniture and now is working on my vinyl ottoman. I went out and bought a heavy duty cardboard called a "Cosmic Catnip Scratching Post" a few weeks ago and Lucy took right to it because of the catnip - she rolled on it, licked it, slept on it but did everything but scratch it for the first 2 weeks. This week I finally saw her dig her nails into it a few times and scratch it. She also uses it to sit on because she doesn't like to sit on the cold floor. Chloe ignores it completely. I need to find something that Chloe will scratch. I am thinking she likes to dig her nails into soft things so I might have to look for a carpeted post but Lucy will love the one you posted. It would be best if you could get some plumbing and additional electrical to the area. I did our kitchenette for about $1000 last summer, but I refinished some of the homes original cabinets, reused my old main kitchen sink and built shelves. The plumbing and electrical and an under the stairs pantry cabinets (not shown) had been installed years earlier when we refinished the basement. Presently there is a mini-fridge and freezer which will be replaced by a apartment size fridge at some point. I did mine in a more cottage style, but the ideas are adaptable to other styles. https://www.houzz.com/photos/my-pics-work-in-progress-phvw-vp~65270573 I used my older, but in great shape cast iron sink rather than a bar sink so the dishes could be easily washed. My older son and daughter often use this little kitchen and the larger sink makes it easy for washing up the dishes.

I've used my little coleman two burner for stuff like keeping the things to be canned and brines hot... even small batches of half pints sometimes. And a ground stand beer-making burner for my big water bath. My hubby has brewed in the past, so we got a pair of burners that could do both brewing or "big canning". Like batches of bigger pint-and-a-half or quart jars, or larger amounts of pints or half-pints that take longer processing times. I do the burner on the concrete, and set up cinder blocks around it for the windbreak. I haven't done it in my garage or carport, but I know brewers that do that with my burner set-up. It is kind of nice to have the big pot set up lower. I'm short, and it makes using the big kettles easier than burners set up higher.

No, I've never thought of ordering from them online, but it's a good idea.

You must have gotten the last one of the second pair because they are now out of stock online. Good prices, and shipping is great. I'm goin' shoppin'!

I've ordered from them with no problems... shipped to my home and store pickup.

They use to make the custom music cds, but then they quit. That was super convenient for me, order what I wanted online, then they'd ship to me. Guess it's time for me to learn how to burn cds, huh?

I've ordered online many,many times from Walmart. Love it!!Christmas, birthdays, whenever. I've never been disappointed.
One year I ordered Christmas gifts on a Thursday, I got them the following Monday at my door.
A couple years ago I ordered a childs "Cars" table and chair set for Drew for his birthday. It was shipped and I got the rest of the Christmas order also, but no table. I checked the shipping confirmation and it said damaged in shipment. This was somewhere around the 21st of December. I got it on the afternoon of the 24th!
I'm very happy with Walmart.com!

Actually, Susan, I couldn't get the color I wanted (black) in those shoes. I ended up with a yellow pair and a red. In the Danskins, I got yellow online and pink in the store.

Mcmann, I wish I'd known that before my kids graduated!

I order the Grandchildrens' Christmas from Walmart.com and it comes right to my door. I also order from Acehardware.com and have it shipped to my local store.

I've ordered from their website many times. If you use the free site-to-store, it takes quite a while. But the 97 cent shipping is great!

WalMart is about a mile from my house. It's not a superstore though, so often I want something that they carry online, but isn't in any of the stores. So I have it shipped to the store and trot down and pick it up. As kayjones mentioned, Ace Hardware also has free shipping to the store and they are only 3 blocks from my house. And you might be surprised to find that the hardware store has a LOT more than just hardware. I've bought acrylic holders for the office, disks for my Orville Redenbacher popcorn popper, even bowls. Love site to store shopping/shipping!

I just wanted to add that the shoes arrived the next day! I ordered them Wednesday afternoon, and they were on my porch when I got home from work last night (Thursday).

In the day after Thanksgiving sale, Walmart had a HP printer/copier/scanner for a very good price...I hate to shop in the store but bought it on line, had it in 2 days with a very low charge and avoided all the shoppers....

Can you all tell me..., I'm shopping for a new camera and saw one online last night (WM.com, incidentally!). If I use the site to store and when I get there find it's not what I wanted, am I required to take it?
Do you have to pay for it in advance online, or can you pay when it arrives at the store?

I don't know the answers to your questions, Twinkle, except to say Walmart is usually good about taking things back.

If you're familiar with the camera's features and know what it looks like, what sort of disappointment are you anticipating?

You have to use a credit card to get it, but I believe you can tell them when it comes in that you want to use cash instead. I'm not sure on that, but I KNOW you can tell them you don't want it, OR return it. I would take the camera home, and try it out. You have at east a couple of weeks on electronics to return them with all packaging.

Twinklenose, you can certainly return it or even refuse to accept it. I think they told me there was a 30 day return policy when I ordered my pressure cooker.
