Fall Asleep in a Bed of Flowers
Tuck Yourself Into Floral Bedding While You Wait for Spring
Though we are still in the throes of winter my mind can't help but wander over to spring. Warmer temperatures, sunshine, and fresh blossoms consume my thoughts so much that I think I hear birds chirping.
But until the mercury rises and we see the fruits of a changing season, I offer you the gift of flowers — more specifically, a bed of flowers. It was not until my adult years that I began to appreciate floral prints. It feels like yesterday when I heard my mother say, as I turned up my nose at her new crewel-work comforter, "Your taste will change." She's right, they did. I just hope she never reads this ideabook.

Floral patterns are often associated with traditional design. This graphic coverlet of white and yellow blooms against a gray backdrop prove that flowers have a place in modern design, too.
In lieu of bodacious blossoms on bedding, try a print of silhouettes that feature foliage.
Consider his taste. Temper the feminine aesthetic by combining floral patterns with gender-neutral hues.
With blooms so nice, why not print them twice? Gain inspiration from floral patterns on your accent pillows and paint original works of art.
Mix and match vintage floral patterns for an effortless, eclectic look. A little girl would be delighted to hold a tea party in her very own rose garden.
Instead of covering the entire bed in petals, create a headboard effect with a wall of beautiful drapery panels.
This quaint bedroom could be an interpretation of a courtyard garden. The drapery and bedskirt are reminiscent of vines, while the wall panels are a nod to a wrought-iron gate. The trellis patterned and flower appliqued pillows are the small, colorful touches that complete the concept.
