She got a TV reality show. Can you believe this? I will not watch it. What about you?

Nope, don't watch any TV unless there is a serious threat of some kind like a tornado.

The quality of television sure has suffered over the years and here's another prime example. Geeze! What ever happened to intelligent writers? :(

I think it's funny! But I'm pretty liberal when it comes to what two consenting adults decide to do, cameras or not. And I used to own an outfit like hers in college, lol. I highly doubt this will cause any permanent psychological damage to her children. And if it does, then I'd be more worried about the kid being able to cope with the real world. In all honesty, the kids will probably be more damaged because of all the very vocal people in the world saying they never should have existed in the first place. I do have some sympathy for her. I don't necessarily agree with her, but mistakes are made and it looks like she's making the best of it. People are so judgmental about such things, but I'd be willing to bet that quite a few people here would do what she did if they were offered a large sum of money that they desperately needed to care for their kids. I know my mom would have done whatever it took to care for me, even though I was a mistake, and I can appreciate that.

From the article: The woman, who has three adult children already, is around five monthsÂ pregnant, and has been admitted to hospital where she is expected to remain until the birth, the Los Angeles Times reports. It is understood that Dr Kamrava transferred at least seven embryos, made from donor eggs, into the woman. Fertility guidelines recommend that no more than five embryos should be transferred into IVF patients over the age of 40 snip The LA Times reports that the 49-year old expectant mother has three adult children, but wanted a baby with her new husband, who is believed to be almost 20 years her junior. Thank goodness there is a husband/father in the picture, and that he is young enough to be energetic and hopefully a lot of help to this older mom. Yes...that doctor needs stopped, and soon! The first of the news on this woman cause me to hear the toot of the money train. Her poor, poor mother. I can't begin to imagine the hell she lives in on an hourly basis. I have begun to wonder if there is more mental illness than there is so much a grasping nature to her. It's so hard to tell. One minute I think "that woman is mentally ill" and the next minute I think "that woman is orchestrating this entire mess for personal gain." But, she didn't garner any of this publicity with her first six kids and didn't seem to seek it out. This is why I remain uncertain in my mind about her ulterior motives. I wonder if the "money" possibilities came around to her when the press/attention came around. I firmly believe she should lose all these children - not as punishment but because it's in the best interest of the children. Well, perhaps not the first six, that would be perhaps more traumatic to them than staying under very transparant conditions until they reach majority. But the newborns should not be with her. I don't think that raising a newborn (or two) is any more difficult than raising teenagers. Which, to me, is the most incredibly scary and difficult job there is in this world. She has a dark world ahead of her - these darling little children who adore her right now aren't going to be so darling and adoring when they hit their teens. She needs to be transparent about her actions as a parent until they are grown up enough to be on their own. This story has upset me. It represents every bad part of thinking (entitlement) our society has come to represent, to me anyway. She is as those bank CEO's are in thought process - to me anyway. I really worry that something terrible is going to happen regarding this woman and one or more of her children.

It wasn't on here in Canada. Did flip throught but not nothing. I don't want to watch it anyways. Don't feel its right seeing an unbalanced mom getting tons of money for doing something she shouldn't be doing. Those kids, all of them need loving caring homes with balanced parents who can care for them. Yes, the parents have done too much to make her that way. And as for Jon and Kate, I used to like watching their show but as time went on, got tired of the screaming from Kate. Seeing Jon miserable and unhappy and harrassed. Seeing the kids being hauled around, made to wear clothes for show when going out somewhere. And now being a single parent, its all talk about her and what she must do for her kids and will and blah, blah, again all about Kate. Its the kids I feel sorry for in both families. And why they continue on Jon and Kate show is beyond me. People do not watch to watch those two. And the show are ones they did way back, like the kitchen being redone, the cupboards it said it was January 2009. And I read on yahoo news that Kate went after Jon for the babysitter he chose. Can you believe that these kids have all kinds of different babysitters,etc. looking after them. parents bouncing back and forth and Jon locking the gates on their mom so she couldn't get in after the baby sitter. I go unreal, who wants to watch their show? Its not about the kids anymore, its about Kate and Jon and which one is telling the truth and who said what and on and on. I don't like Octomom at all and I don't want to see it at all.

I don't watch any of the reality shows.I think they all stink! I guess it started with Survivor and I never could stand that show!

I also don't watch the "reality" shows, and rarely the sitcoms. I can't imagine how her show would intrigue anyone.

Nope..I'm sittin' over here with Stargazer! I very rarely watch TV...not even if there's a tornado/bad weather. My weather radio alerts me for bad weather!

I was just discussing with my own duo-mom how relieved we are not to see any more news stories about this mentally unbalanced woman.

Her own reality show? Enough, already!

We all new this was going to happen. I will probably watch one show for the train wreck factor, oh no that's horrible, I can't watch. But only one, will not support this crazy woman and her craziness. Those poor kids.

No...but them I don't watch any of these staged "reality" shows. I can't see what anyone sees in them.

I prefer to watch documentaries, variety shows and dramas that admit they're fiction.

But, especially not that grasping idiot.

I used to chuckle at how everyone always says they "Don't read 'The National Enquirer' because it is junk." Yet The National Enquirer is still in business decades later while nobody ever, ever buys it, ever.

If nobody watched dumb TV shows, they would not be on the air. People ARE watching. They just don't admit it.

That's "Octomom plus six" isn't it?

That's 14 per couple, or an increase of about 6 times in one generation.

Just think ...

... if 10% of the world tried that ...

... soon the world'd be so heavy that it'd fall out of orbit!

Good wishes for responsible parenting.

And "real" TV - not the "reality" that has the people on camera living as though stranded on a desert island ...

... while the writers, producers, camera people and various hangers-on, about a hundred or so (or even half that number) that go with making a TV show, have their sleeping trailers, kitchen, dining area, etc. (including cleaners, kitchen staff, etc.) in which to operate, right alongside the castaways.

No I have "watched" only one of Jon and Kate plus 8 and that was only after seeing a thread here about how mean she was....and how he let her treat him badly
Now I do admit I watch the housewives and Gene Simmons....but what kids are on their are older and not in my eyes being exploited...the show is more about the parents.....Stacy

Get rid of Ryan Sechrest and the reality shows will disappear. They just did a segment on his career and how much money he makes a year, producing these shows that 'nobody' watches - it's estimated that he makes about $100 MILLION dollars a year on them!

14 kids, each getting paid $250 per day.
That's why she did it.

I hate all these reality shows, and do not watch anything with people's families. I don't care what they do in their home. Period.
But obviously there are enough people interested. They keep making more.
